BYLAW No 630
A Byla of the liunacipal Distract of Kneehill #48 to authorize
the Co ncil to enter into an Agreement with the Kneehill leather
Hodifi ation Association for the provision of weather modification
in a p rt of the said P.Iunicipal District for the year 1970
iERBA Section 267 of the Municipal Governrment Act provides
that w ere a petition, signed by at least 10 per cent of the
propri tary electors in a municipal district having a population
of les than 10,000 persons, is received by the municipal
secret ry prior to the first day of February requesting the
council to pass a by -law for the purpose of entering into an
agreement with any person for the provision of weather mcd-
ificat on services to the area of the municipal district described
in the petition, the council shall give the by-law first reacting
and submit it to a vote of the proprietary electors;

No. 48 in accordance with Section 267 of the Municipal Government
Act, C apter 68, Statutes of Alberta 1968 and Amendments thereto,
enacts as follows

6. If the Plebiscite for this by -law fails, or if the Kneehill
Weather Modification kssociation cannot enter into an Agreement
because of paragraph 5 hereto, the Kneehill Weather Modification
Association shall pay to the Municipal District of Kneehill No 48
the sup of $600 00 to defray expenses.
7. Th t, upon final passing of this by -law, the Reeve or Deputy
Peeve ind Secretary - Treasurer are directed on behalf of the
Munici al District to sign the Agreement with the Kneehill
Weather Modification Association as per copy attached
8 That this by -law shall not have any force or effect unless

electors of the Area Concerned and has received approval as
required and stated in Section 267 of the I.1unicipal Government
