Mr Schmelke moved that this report be accepted and filed, and that congratulations be given to Mr Bauer on his election. Carried Correspondence was read from adjoining municipalities SNOW in regard to any by -laws in respect to snow vehicles None had VEHICLES passed any by -law in this regard but the M D of Starland sub- mitted a tentative one for consideration. Brief discussion followed a d the Sec - Treas. was asked to find out what the rules are for Provincial Highways in regard to snow vehicles. Mr. Church moved that this item be tabled until next regular meeting. Carried Council was advised that Linden Contractors had moved LINDEN their-crushing outfit to the gravel location proposed in NW -1- CONTRACTORS 31 -23 -4 (L Vasselin) but had found that the gravel was not ACCOUNT, suitable A committee of Council had met with them at the ETC. site and h d decided that no gravel crushing be done there. Accounts of Linden Contractors were referred to briefly as follows 1. Mr Poole moved that the road committee investigate this Carried HAZELTON McNair Location J Dobler GRAVEL - E2- 16 -32 -26 Mr Hazelton advised that Linden Contractors had taken REPLACEMENT 530 cu yds. of gravel from the Municipal stockpile at Megli's OF GRAVEL and 204 cu ds from the Municipal stockpile west of Linden, TAKEN and he stated they i.%oul.d crush an extra 734 cu.yds. at the ldegli pit without charge as a replacement for the above. He also stated that they had taken 1,356 cu yds from the Torrington o:.t and Tt.i ; replace this from their own pit when they are working the e Both these were agreed upon without motion Mr. H4zelton was thanked for the information brought to Council.. andl he then left the meeting Mr, J e Dobler then discussed gravel stockpiling at some '_ength with C oUlciland various suggestions were discussed and f7_nal_ized b the following motion STOCKPILING Mr F rguson moved that the work for the gravel crew WORK In stockpiling gravel be arranged as follows 1 Haul as much as possible from the Garson pit to the Watt stockpile on condition that the old base be not extended. Motion carried It inoted in regard to the above motion that order for stockpiling is to be followed only if weather permits. Mr Eobler reported that one truck had not started the TRUCK morning of Dec 3rd and truck #21 had backed up to it to push ACCIDENT it out of the ditch so that they could then get it started. An accident had folloi� *ed with truck #21 having its left hand mirror demolished and the door quite badly damaged. Repair estimate is $16$.40 This is to be reported to the Insurance Company. Bauer had agreed to a change of date for the CHANGE OF Organizational meeting of the new Council from Tuesday, Dec 9th DATE to Monday, Dec 15, 1969 A Ministerial Order had been requested OF ORG. to permit this extension of time and same has been granted. MEETING Reason for this was that the present Reeve, Ralph Brown, would Dec.15th be unable to attend on Dec 9th due to the Conference he is attending at Ottawa. Mr Church moved that this be recorded in the minutes, that the Ministerial Order be accepted and approval given for the change of date of the Organizational Meeting to Monday, De .15,1969 commencing at 9 00 A M Carried unan A letter from the Hon.
