The r gular meeting of Council of the Municipal
District of Kneehill No 48 was held at the Municipal
Office at Three Hills on Monday, July 14/69 commencing
at 9 00 a.m j

present for any of this meeting and Mr D. C Dau, repre-
sentative of the Three Hills School Division was not pre-
sent I
Mr. G G King, Secretary - Treasurer, was present
and recorded the minutes.
Mr. Church moved approval of the Minutes of the MINUTES
Meeting of June 9th and 23rd/69 as per copy which had been
mailed to ea h Councillor Carried
Mr. S hmelke moved approval of the Minutes of the
Special Meeting of Council held on June 13th/69 as per
copy which bad been mailed to each Councillor. Carried
Mr. Ferguson moved approval of the Minutes of the
Combined Meeting of Council with the Agricultural Service
Board held on June 23rd/69 and as per copy which had been
mailed to each Councillor Carried.
Mr C G King, Sec. -Treas , suggested to Council PLANNING
that matter pertaining to planning as listed in the
Agenda be left to the last part of the meeting and per-
haps delayec to a later date so that a representative of
the Plannin Commission could be present He also advised
Council tha Mr Frank Schwinghamer of the Three Hills
Hotel had a ked for an appointment to meet Council on THREE HILLS
this date t again discuss erection of his advertising HOTEL
sign, but h had been told that the matter had already
been dealt With three times by Council and therefore no
appointment was arranged. Mr Schwinghamer had, however,
been advised that he could come to the office on this date
if he so wished and then Council could decide whether or
not he shou d again be interviewed.
The linancial Statement for the month ending June FINANCIAL

and in regar to the work to be done for the Village of

required and could be done by the Bridge Branch for approx. ETC
$600 00 Mr. Church moved that the Bridge Branch be author-
ized to proceed under the conditions as outlined Carried.

4. Grants for previous installation of culverts have
been approve for W/NW- 33- 33- 25- 4,W/NW- 32- 33 -22 -4 and
S/SW- 26 -29 -2 -4. Mr. Ferguson moved that this information

5 Proposed re- location of roads, etc in the Hesketh
area at NE-12-29-22-4. Mr Church moved that an engineer
from the Bridge Branch be asked to meet with our Road `
Committee at the location sometime in mid - August. Carried

Mr Paquette advised that he had no details as yet FURNACE
in respect to the furnace at Acme and matters referred to AC14E SHOP
by the Provincial Gas Inspector Mr Poole moved that a
letter be sent to the Inspector asking for further details
in regard to the kind of furnace, etc Carried.
Mr C urch advised Mr Clarence Colberg had contacted
him in regari to a number of items including damage to a
cultivator t re, work done opening culverts and other
matters Mr Poole moved that Mr Ted Paquette and Mr
Church inves agate regarding Clarence Colberg4s claims at
a convenient time when Mr Paquette is working in that area.

Mr. P quette advised Council that he had numerous
requests to urface the road from the Linden Machine Works
west down to the CPR tracks a distance of .,r.r..I.i.,.imately 3/4
of a mile. T is is a good grade but is generally rough and
dusty due to the type of soil in the area Discussion
followed Mr Church moved that Council authorize surfacing
of the road from the Linden Machine Works west to the CPR
crossing in L969 when the machinery is in that area but
that no pro 'se be made of any further work in that vicinity.

that this is a detailed and clear outline of policies, etc
and should prove of considerable value The Sec. -Treas
suggested that a similar type of handbook would be of value
to the Munic pal District but time did not permit its pre-
paration at iresent

10th and Jul 8th/69 were referred to briefly.
Mr Peters moved that the above information from
the Three Hills School Division be filed Carried.
A Conudittee of Ralph Brown, Dunc Peters,'an G. G.
King reported on the applications received in respect to
the position of Assistant Sec -Treas and their study of
same A total of twelve applications had been received
and were reviewed by the Committee the afternoon of July
4th. In the forenoon of Saturday, July 5th, six of the
applicants hid been interviewed and Mr George Reed was
the unanimou5 choice of the Committee Next in order of
recommendati n by the Committee were John Jeffery and
Douglas Pudw 11 Council was given further details in,_
regard for tie reasons of choices and also in regard to
