Lemay for Div 7, was not present for any of this meeting. Mr. Peters moved approval of the minutes of the Council Approval meetings of April 14th and 19th and the Special meeting held of May 1st /69, all as per copy which had been mailed to each minutes Councillor. Carried Mr C urch moved approval of the minutes of the Combined Me ting with Council members and the Local Municipal Planning Co ission as recorded at the meeting on April 3/69 Carried Mr S hmelke moved approval of the minutes of the Court of Revision proceedings as per its meeting of April 29th/69. Carried. Fin.St The F'nancial State:-ient for the month ending April 30th /69 was presented and discussed. This showed a net balance at the end Df the month of $22,331.65 but with loans owing of $11,000 30, all as per copy with these minutes Mr Poole moved adoption of the Mgnthly Statement Carried. Correspondence and reports were given in regard to Hosp. Hospitals Districts in brief as follows: Districts re quis 1 D eller - had expected to make a requisition this year but wi 1 not be doing so. 2 Three Hills - Its total requisition for 1969 is $20,000. of which this municipal District's share has been calculated at $14,642. The Sec - Treas. advised Council this would require a mill rate of 1 7 mills in the area concerned 3. Innisfaxl - Mr G King, as Sec -Treas advised Council he had talked pxbm*;x1Xx by phone to the Administrator of that Hospital District but had not received satisfaction as to what the requisition may be, and he therefore recommended that no action be taken regarding it at the present time Mr. Ferguson moved that the correspondence and reports regarding the Hospital matters be accepted. Carried The official Budget report form from the Three Hills Budget - School Division was referred to briefly and it was noted that 3 Hills this was the same as the Preliminary one which had been dis- S.D. cussed at a previous meeting. Mr Church moved that this be accepted and filed Carried See Page 2 V A FORM 149-7 SPECIAL MUNICIPAL SUPPLIES COUNCIL MEETING May 12, 1969 Page 2 Information from the Trochu- Pontmain School District advised that its requisition for 1969 from portion of this Municipal District is $2,000 Mr. Peters moved that this be accepted and filed Carried A let er of May 9th/69 from the Assessment Equalization Board outli ed all of the Equalized Assessments affecting this Munici al District. The total for this District was shown as $1),876,107 The breakdown was given by School Districts a d Hospital Districts Mr Poole moved that this be accepted and filed. Carried. The S I ec -Treas advised Council that, due to minor changes in Equalized !Assessments and requisitions, there should be minor adjustments in the Preliminary Mall Rates as decided at the Special meeting on May 1st last. Linden Home The Sec - Treas. advised Council that the new fire truck for the Linden -Acr:e area was checked thoroughly at Fire truck Calgary this past Thursday and brought to Linden later that Linden - day The Emergency 'leasures fire unit which was on loan Acme at Linden is now to be returned to Edmonton. Mr Brown moved that Mr. `.Taft Regehr of Linden be asked to make road arrangments to r -turn the fire truck to Edmonton and with crew the 14 D to pay the expenses of doing so as a charge to that area If Mr Regehr cannot do this, Mr Gordon Park could be asked to do so Motion carried. Mr Ted Paquette asked about the rates of pay for land rate for and fences, borrow pits,etc. in connection with road land,fence, construction Mr Poole moved that the rates be the same etc as in 1968, namely- - land 7 times the assessment of the work at area concerned, fences at the maximum of $300 per mile and Reimer borrow pits at approximately $100. each Carried. Carried. Mr Cliff Poole reported that he had talked to Mr A R C, 3 P. C. Smith.$ Director of Calgary Regional Planning Commission, in regard t procedures for local Municipal Planning. Mr re Poole advised that the Council could abandon its local local Municipal Planning Commission because of the difficulty in Commission getting sufficient members a -id because the amount of bus- iness being -,eferred to it is very limited Any a,-peals would then gro direct to the Provincial Planning Board He personally recommends this procedure because amendments to the Planning Act malre Councillors ineligible as members of the Local Planning Loard. Mr P tens moved that final decision on this matter be tabled and that fur- or information be obtained if possible from the Provincial Planning Board and from the Hon 'Mr. Gerhart, IMi ister of the Department Carried Mr. P ole moved that no meeting of our local Municipal Planning Commission be held on May 21st as previously scheduled next next due to the 1jusy season and limited amount of work to be re- meeting ferred to itd. In brief this asked that Council allow him to re- locate his advertising hotel sign in the NW corner of the Three Hills, Town park ad- sign: jacent to the access road east of Three Hills Attention was drawn to the letter from the traffic Planning Engineer of the Provincial Department of Highways to Mir Schwinghammer under date oC April 17th with copy to our office, and this was also reviewed by Council Considerable discussion follower: It was pointed out to Council that having any such sign is contrary to he Municipal Planning by -law and also contrary to the prese t terms of the Preliminary Regional Plan which is being dra ted Mr. Ch irch moved that Mr Schwingh.emmer be advised that no permissio will be granted for his advertising sign ad- jacent to an Municipal road as it is contrary to the Mun- icipal by-la v.
