that they have estimated the portion of

asked for payment of its 1969 requisition of $3,372.00. Mr.,,
Peters moved that one -half of that requisition be paid now
and tha balance in December Carried.

REQUIS
A letter of April 24th/69 from the Provincial Department
of Highways advised that the regular road grant allotted to
this Municipality for 1969 is $103,711.00. Details concerning
this Grant were included in that letter Discussion followed,
and it wa noted that this is a reduction of $5,111 00 as
compared ith the 1968 amount Mr Schmelke moved that this be
accepted nd that details of the road program be considered
later in 1he meeting. Carried. See Page

was given to each Councillor in the form prepared by the
Sec - Treas. and his assistant It was pointed out that
Council is free to make any changes deemed advisable, and
that this is only for consideration

Division of April 16th/69 were referred to Council and items 3 Hills
of general interest were discussed briefly. Mr. Ferguson S.D.

A brief verbal report was given to Council of the A A M D.
meeting of the Central A.A.M D Counties which had been meeting
held at Dicisbury on April 21st. Information had been ob- report
tained in regard to proposed Provincial legislation but much
of it was riot finalized at that date Mr. Poole moved that

The request of Mr. Fred Art for improved drainage
facilities at the road W/N'4- 26- 32 -27 -4 was discussed. Mr
Peters moved that the fridge Branch be asked to drive
piling and to construct a wooden bridge with used salvage
material alt this location. Carried
Copy of a letter of April 17th/69 from the Provincial
Traffic Planning Engineer, Department of Highways, to Mr
F. Schwinghammer of the Three Hills Hotel, was read to
Council. This stated,in brief, that his advertising sign
must be r oved along the access road to Three Hills not later
than May 5th /69 Mr Church moved that this be accepted
as inform tion and the letter filed. Carried
Reports of Mr E M Danchuk, Secondary Road Engineer,
of the Pr vincial Department of Highways, was read to Council
as receiv d through the Calgary Regional Planning Commission
in respect to various surfacing procedures, A copy of the
report ha been given to Mr Paquette previously, Mr Ferguson
moved tha this be accepted ari information and filed Carried.

A letter of April 16th /69 from the Chief Bridge Engineer
Provincial Department of Highways, was read to Council, pointing
out that ertain survey requirements had not been completed
in regard to the road just west of the Morrin bridge The
Sec -Tread reviewed with Council some earlier correspondence
and details in respect to this matter.

It appeare, that the Municipal District had a respon- Morrin

In regard to other matters, Mr. Ferguson has again
advised that he would deal 44soon" with the Orval McArthur
lot in Torrington, the transfer of property west of Allingham
and get us further information in regard to certain Swalwell
property involving the School Division and Tom Beagrie.
Mr Ferguson moved that this report be accepted.Carried.
A letter of April 22nd/69 from the ton. Jordon Taylor
Minister of Highway, stated that he could not, at this time,
take the #21 Hwy east road to the Morrin Bridge into the
Highway network This was because of the reduced budget
for Provincial highways, and the need of the Province to
improve of er roads which are already in its network

quired to set up the Linden -Acme Rural Fire Protection area

that the Underwriters Laboratories of Canada will test the unit

attendance in Calgary at that time if convenient and also

considerable detail from the M.D. of Rockyview. The main
points req ested as changes by the rural areas were that
some secon ary industries be permitted in the rural districts
and that no zoning boundary lines be included in the Pre-
liminary Plan The recommendations of that meeting are to be
referred back to the Committee for re- drafting the proposed
Plan. Mr Schmelke moved that this report be accepted. Carried.

made to th Provincial Planning Act so that no Councillor
could othe ise be entitled to be Members He will report
to the nex Council meeting.

the dog is somewhat vicious and has knocked
children down
and has perhaps bitten one, but there has
been no serious
injury. The owner had been contacted at
one time regarding
this, but complaints have since come in.

advised that by -law No 182 passed on April 4th
1953 is still
on the boobs and that this prohibits any dog
running at
large within the Municipal District. This had
been passed
at a time when there was a danger of rabies
infection
