The Council meeting that had adjourned from March
10,x,969 was reconvened at the Municipal office, Three Hills
on 14onday, March 31st/69 at 9 00 A M
Mr. Georges Lemay, Councillor of Div-7, was present for G.Lemay
a portion only of this meeting as recorded in these minutes,
all other Councillors were present throughout the meeting
Mr G.G. King, as Sec. - Treas was present and recorded G.Ki.ng

A letter of March 14th/69 from the C.N.R. was read to
Council advising that the C N R. plans to lift its lines
approximately 3 inches with new ballast from the Grainger
location southwest out of our Municipality. This asked if
the M D would do the work required for the grade approaches
or if they preferred that private contractors be hired. Mr
Peters moved that the C.N.R, be advised to hire private
contractors for the work involved. Carried
Mr. Ferguson moved that Council advise the C N R. that
it has no objection to the retirement of certain trackage
at Twining as proposed by the C N R in their letter of
March 18/69 and Plan No.234 -R. Carried
A report from the office of the Fire Commissioner was
reach in respect to fire lasses in the period ending Dec-31
1908 This was discussed briefly. Mr Poole moved that
thiq information be filed. Carried

A letter of Mr. R Eeland, Office of the Fire Commissioner, Tests
dated March 18-:,h/69, was read advising that the Underwriters
Labqratories of Canada would be prepared to conduct performance used
tests on equipment for fire fighting mounted on a used chassis chassis
but that the unit would not be labelled. This testing could R.F.P.

Minutes of the Three Hills School Division meeting of Minutes of
Margo 12th/69 were briefly referred to Council and reference 3 Hills
was also made to the report regarding the new salary schedule S D
as received from there. Some discussion followed Mr.
Schmplke moved that this information be filed. Carried.
A letter from the Sec. - Treas. of the Three Hills Municipal History
Library stated that they wished to purchase one copy of our book -
M D, of Kneehill Book and asked if the Municipal District Library
would donate another copy. Considerable discussion followed
Mr Lemay moved that one copy of the M.D. of Kneehill book
be donated to the Three Hills Municipal library and one
copy to the Trochu library Carried
Mr. Georges Lemay left the meeting at this time (apprOx G Lemay
11.30 a.m ) He advised thatad a call from home which re-
quired his attention
Mr G King gave each Councillor a copy of the report
of the meeting which he and Mr. Hanson had attended in the
offipe of the County of Red Deer on Mamds.cx March 21st
last, About 15 Secretary - Treasurers and assistants had met
with'Mr. Bruce Ramsey of the Department of Municipal Affairs
and many items of Municipal interest had been discussed Mr
Church moved acceptance of this report Carried.

Mr frown noved that the Sec.-Treas. and any Councillor

Municipal inancing Corporation were very briefly referred V Fin Corp
to Council Mr. Peters moved that this be filed Carried.
The r port from our 1unicipal Planning Commission
meeting wh ch had been called for March 19th was discussed
briefly t was noted that a quorum had not been present
so officia ly business could not be transacted However,
records we e kept of the discussions Mr. Schmelke moved
that this eport be accepted and filed. Carried
Each Councillor was given a copy of the booklets
received f om the Calgary Regional Planning Commission in
regard to the County Residential Survey and the Proposed
Regional Plan Mr G King reported verbally on the
meeting wh ch he and the Secretary - Treasurers of the M DQs
of Rockyvi w and Foothills had attended with Mr R Smith,
Director, n Calgary on March 28th A letter of March 28th
from the M D of Rockyview invited Council members to a
joint meet ng at its office on Monday, April 7th, commencing
at 9:30 A.I. for a discussion of the information from the
Calgary Re ional Planning Commission. 14r. Peters moved
that all C uncillors and Secretary - Treasurer attend this
meeting on April 7th Carried
It wab agreed that appointment of a new Member to our
local Planning Commission be tabled until after the meeting
in Calgary referred to above.
Minutes of the C R P C were referred to in regard to
a subdivision committee meeting of Feb.28th and its regular
meeting of March 7th. lir Peters moved that these be filed
Carried.
Mr Peters, as member of the Shop Committee, reported
briefly on the following and other items•
1 The payloader is being repaired at the Wimborne
Shop, Some bolts had come loose in the transmission but
the damage is not considered to be great
2. An exchange motor has been put in the Ford F -700
gravel truck which might be used as a fire truck
3 Tha Wagner at Three Hills had been repaired in our
own shop a out January 7th with sleeves, ball bearings,etc.
- total co 3t of parts was about $684 00. After 300 hours
of operati n, the motor went out and repair costs are approx.
$5,000 N definite cause is known.

The Council meeting adjourned from 2 00 p.m until Tax
2.10 p m during the time of the Tax Sale A separate sheet Sale
included with these minutes gives the report of that Tax Sale.
The r port from St. John9s Ambulance advised that St Johnis
Trevor Murray did not complete the First Aid Course and Ambulance
therefore iid not receive an award Mr T Paquette failed course
also to re eive an award. Mr. A.R Sommerville successfully
passed the test and his certificate is at hand Mr Schmelke
moved that the Certificate be given to Dir (Sandy) A.R.
Somnie�ville and that he be given congratulations in this

Circulars from Timac Fire Sales Ltd were read with Timac Tires

cial Department of Highways, including Mr Earl Danchuk, Hwys.

up farming but has asked to be kept on our list as a spare
driver after that Hr Ted Paquette reported on the progress
being made in the moving and erecting of the metal shed and

the Shop Committee

regard to compassionate leave and was advised that the
agreement frovides for a maximum of three days in any
