Jan.27th, 969, were reviewed by the meeting Mr. Poole
moved that the minutes be adopted as circulated Carried.
Mr. Gordon Park reported that Golden Arrow Sprayers
Ltd were not able to build a special boom for our sprayer
which would be used for roadside spraying He further re-
ported that he had investigated the John Beam Contourma „ic
boom which is handled by Niagara Brand Chemicals Ltd he
price of t e boom including bed was $4,600 00, without

earlier in the meeting be purchased at a price of $4,600

and Donald Eauer were referred to very briefly. Mr.
Paquette advised there is no need for extra help at this
time Mr Feters moved that the applicants be advised
that their applications are on file and may be considered
later but that Mr Don Cassidy be advised that it is
doubtful if any work will be available for him. Carried
The Sec. -Treas read to Council a proposed agreement
with Postil s in regard to gravel stockpiles and entry,etc.

The Sec -Treas was asked to check as to whether or not
Gus Gieck and Gary Iverson had paid for the bunk cars
purchased f om our Carbon yard. Bills are to be sent if
the account have not been paid
Mr Peters referred to the propane ?fridge which the
Municipal District purchased some time ago and which is at
the Wilson farm. He believes that Mr Roland Winter of
Drumheller may pay $100.00 for this and that is the cost
to the Municipal District Mr Poole moved that Mr. Peters
have authority to sell the used propane fridge Carried
Mr Ted Paquette advised that Cunningham Construction
of Calgary have a used 50 ton press for sale at a price
of $450 00. It is almost like new in condition and he has
seen same and believes it would be suitable for use in our
shop Mr Ferguson moved that Ted Paquette be authorized
to purchase this press for the Municipal District. Carried

Mr. Poole gave some further information in regard to
the business of the Calgary RegionalPlanning Commission as
referred to above.
Mr Chu ch moved that the correspondence and reports
of Mr Pool be accepted and that a further $15 00 be paid
to the Calg ry Regional Planning Commission in respect to
the subdiviclion application as per No-3 above Carried.

It is n ted that the Municipal District crews are to re-
pair three cr more bridges as shown in the reports.
Brief discussion followed in regard to the two proposals
for the Hes eth road and also in regard to the two proposals
for a change of location from the bridge on the Ghost Pine
Creek which is now east of Allen Huxley's in Sec.3- 31 -22 -4

It is n ted that the Municipal District crews are to re-
pair three cr more bridges as shown in the reports.
Brief discussion followed in regard to the two proposals
for the Hes eth road and also in regard to the two proposals
for a change of location from the bridge on the Ghost Pine
Creek which is now east of Allen Huxley's in Sec.3- 31 -22 -4

Mr Ral h Brown and Dunc Peters gave Council a fairly LABOUR
lengthy ver al report of the Labour Relations workshop RELATIONS
which they 'ad attended in Calgary this past Thursday and WORKSHOP

had been ob ained A few of the points referred to were
1. A Wage increase is not necessarily related to service
2. Employers should recognize long service but shouldn't
overdo this in promotions
3 Most unions are now demanding double time for pay for
Sundays
4 Thera is an increase in pressure in all areas for the
40 hour wee
5 Empl yers should be certain to keep in good standing
with the Wo kmen's Compensation Board and insist that the
employees bD careful. If anyone is careless repeatedly, then
that person should be laid off
