The meeting that had adjourned from Jan 13th/69 was
reconvened in the Municipal office, Three Hills at 9 00
a r! on Tuesday, Jan 14-vh/69 with all Councillors again

Mr. Lem #y moved that no change be made in regard to

The employee committee asked Council to consider
some payment for unused sick pay benefits in cases where
employees left or retired This was discussed at some
length Mr Poole moved that Council agree to pay an
employee at his regular rate of pay for accumulated sick
pay benefit as follows
1 If tie employee is retiring and going on pension,
full credit for the accumulated sick pay days.
2 Othe7 employees who leave after a minimum of four
years emplo meat shall be paid for 1/2 of the number of
sick pay da s accumulated

moved that this be for the calendar year 1969 Carried

that Counci do not approve of an arbitration Board and
that final ecision rest with Council Carried
Mr Don Dau of the Three Hills School Division, came
into the me tang at this time - approx. 1 30 p.m
Classes of workmen under the Wage Contract were re-
viewed and it was agreed that the former class I'D" as
shown on pacre 2 of the 1968 agreement, be changed from

Wage ra es and related matters were discussed at a
considerabl length and it was noted that increases granted
to the mont ly employees had ranged from a,- prox 7% to 71%.
Mr. Fergusoi moved that the following changes be offered
by Council-
1 'that' no person be paid for travel time to or from
work if he is a member of the gravel crew or the road
grading crew or other general labor work
2 That the wage rates of the gravel crew and the pay -

The following were noted as major points under dis-
cussion.
Leonard Litz on behalf of the gravel crew - pay -

Council then further discussed the requests of the
employees, and considerable discussion took place re-
garding winter hours of the gravel crew Mr Church moved
that Council agree to the old winter rates for the gravel
crew, names 10 hours per day Monday through Friday for a
total of a 0 hour week. Carried

that it is unlikely that there would be any work available
