Circulars were read in respect to the Annual
Agricultural Service Board conference to be held at
Olds on October 30th and 31st and November 1st next

will be presented at that meeting Mr Church moved
that dolegates from this District authorized to attend

Teo circulars from the Department of Agriculture
were reli ail in regard to Brucellosis vaccinations of calves
Official Vaccinates are now female cai ves vaccinated with
Brucelxa abortus Strain 19 Vaccine at any age between 90
and 270 (lays. Mr Schmelke moved that these circulars be
filed as information Carried
Mr Gordon Park asked if the meeting thought that they
should ntinue arranging with Captains to organize the
Brucellp is vaccinations. Discussion showed that cows sold
are bei spot checked and other spot checks are also being
made ors' he farms. The present financial policy is that
the Muni. ipal District gets 10¢ per head for the calves
vaccinated but pays 15¢ per calf plus $15.00 for organiz-
ing the work and $15.00 for assisting the veterinarian to
each Captain. This work is done in the Fall only
The ninutes of the meeting of December 1967 were re-
ferred to which indicated support of the program for 1968.
Mr Bates moved that this be tabled until the results of
the Fall program are known and that an article be put t
the pap6r soon in regard to this matter Carried
The winter program was discussed and Mr. Dan Peters
D.A., Stated that the following are being given consideration.
1. Horticultural Workshop of 7 meetings - if enough
interest is shown, one afternoon and one evening session
may be Provided and these will commence about the 2nd
Wednesday in February
2. Family Life Education - 6 meetings likely to be
held at T ochu with Mrs Edna Clarke in charge These will
be on Thursday evenings in January, and on.
3. Farm Management and perhaps Weed Control with it-
to be held at Linden.
4 We1ed Control & Soil Management - could be arranged
for local areas.
5. Pt ers discussed including a Welding course which
might be,o fered at Three Hills if there is enough interest
Mr..,D n Peters and Mr Gordon Park each advised that
they are:w, lling to assist in any areas where requests are
made. I� as noted that some interest had been shown
through th Carbon Chamber of Commerce but that no request
had been r ceived to date.

Aug 26/68 Attending What Pool Elevator, Three Hills,
P B I , Christie Bros Pork Ltd , Wimborne Gas Plant,
Hutterite Colony, Trochu Hospital a -d Convent, ending the
day with a gymkhana, barbecue and open air dance at the
river east of Trochu. I presented the 24 Young Voyageurs
and their leaders with M D Maps

sileage due to large numbers of wild oats Square yard

purchased a used Youngstown Cabinet with double sink, - NEW SHOP
etc for- the new shop from Leo Trepanier of Carbon at
a price of $100 00 Mr. Peters moved that this report
be ace e ted and payment made of the $100 00 to Mr
Trepani r. Carried
A circular from Industrial & Road Equipment was read PRICES -
in regard to special prices of repair parts. Mr Campbell repair
moved that this be filed as information. Carried parts
The Sec - Treas. advised that SLOW signs are now in
place -cr the east -west traffic at the Garson corner SIGNS -
near th c SW- 6- 31 -21 -4 He recommended that these signs be Garson
replacee with YIELD signs Mr Schmelke moved that Council corner
approve of the change as recommended Carried.
Mr. Ted Paquette agreed to have YIELD signs erected at
this loc tion as referred to above

stated that the ventilation system in the new Shop has been new shop
approved. Mr Poole moved that this be accepted and filed.

A 1 tter from Canadian Pacific Oil & Gas Ltd asked CAN PAC
permi3si n to develop a road allowance on the Test side of OIL & GAS
