Assessor and Advisor Secretary Mr. Dai moved approval of the Minutes of the Meeting of June 19th, 1968, as per copy which had been mailed to each member. Carried. This meting was ad:r -oed that the Calgary Regional Planning Commission had given approval of the following. 1. Transfer, etc re: Harold Howe in respect to SW -3 and portion SE-4-31-24-2. 2 Died ubdiv in portion of Sec. 3- 29-23 -4 with certain titles to be consolid ted to get good inlets Mr. Schmelke moved that this information be accepted and filed Carried i Mr. G King, Secretary, advised that he had given approval for building applications for the following: 1 Herb K sterke - metal granary - 5E- 20- 32 -22 -4 2 K.E. & B. Braham - machine 3. Ken Reimer - machine shed - Mr. Schmelke moved that these be shed - SW- 24- 34 -26 -4 5E- 35- 30 -25 -4 accepted and filed Carried. & The Secretary advised that Mr, Claude Dennis had made application for a building permit for an addition to a house which is owned by Mrs. Ida Ar bruster in the hamlet known as Ruarkville, north of Three Hills. Mrs. Armbruster had been at the office and stated it was doubtful whether or of Mr Dennis would actually purchase the property Mr Dau moved that his application be tabled pending proof of purchase. Carried. Mr. A R Smith s from the letter to him from Mr Noel Dant, Provincial ector, in this regard This letter dial not clarify financial but stated that sarm were under consideration Mr Smith Calgary City wiling- its financial assistance to new areas so 60% of the costs in respect to the new areas incial and the other 40% will have to be borne by local es Mr Smith estimated that 60 to 70% of the present work of C R P C is now in connection with the M D Qs of nd Foothills. Up to .Taly 1st /68, the C R P C dealt with ivision applications as they did in the whole of 1967 eting adjourned for dinner from 12.00 noon until 1 00 p.m. Furthe discussion then followed in regard to #.inancing of the C R P C wi h reference to whether Council should write now or wait for C R P C to first discuss this with representa Ives of the Provincial lanning Office It appeared that such Ydiscussion would be held on A ugust 2nd Mr Dor Dau moved that the above information be referred to the M!Anicipal D'strict Council and that we outline the adverse effect on services to members of the Calgary Regional Planning Commission and the effects on the budget Carried The C R, P C had recently given special instructions to its planning director in regard to approval of subdivisions This gave him authority to approve tentatively certain subdivisions which he is certain are in accordance with all regulations The report of the Director to the C.R.P C was also referred to this meeting Mr Schmelke moved that this information be accepted and filed Carried ,I� See Page 3 C9 r� FORM 149-P SPECIAL MUNICI. A problem had in that the approval of the Calgary Regional Planning also required That Commission has been assisting getting approved but some problems have arisen in respect to the _ots and other matters Details regarding this were dis- _y Mr Don Dau then moved that this information be tabled. Carried Mr. Don Dau and Mr. Anderson advised that the former Swalwell School is being offered for sale by auction on August 10th and there is no reserve bid This meeting was then asked for its opinion in regard to uses which might be permitted at that location with particular reference to the following 1 A lady aad inquired about buying the property and using it as a home for app ox. five young children who would be otherwise wards of the governme t It appeared this use might be okay if she follows all provincial r gulations 2. Mr Schinelke moved that the information regarding the former Swalwell Sch of be now filed Carried Mr. Ge rge Park and Mr G King advised they had been asked if approval wou d be granted to move an old residence from the SE- 5- 31 -25 -4 (Gladwin Toe s) to the subdivision just north of Three Hills They had inspected this dwelling and Councillor, Dune Peters, had been with them at the ime and they recommended against approval The person interested was Mr Claude Dennis and he had been advised following which he stated that he would not make an official application to move the bui ding in Mr. Anderson moved that this report be adopted Carried. Date of the next meeting of this Commission was discussed and Mr Smith advise that he would be away on both Wednesday, August 14th and the 21st but he stated that Mr Mike Fenerty could come from his office Mr Schmelke moved that the next meeting of this Commission be at the Municipal Of ice, Three Hills, on Wednesday, August 21st/68, commencing at 9 30 a.m Carried Mr G in respect t Subdivision opinion in follow The been subdivi followed in to.
