Considerable discussion followed in respect to the ROAD

slippery and that it gives a better seal against moisture.

The Se -Treas advised Council that some people
from the To -on of Trochu had unofficially contacted him
in regard t co- operation and also surfacing the road
from the hi &way East through the Town of Trochu to
join with t e Tolman Bridge road Some Councillors had
heard that Trochu had its own Engineer and was calling
for bids fo a definite paving job in this connection
Mr Brown moved that the road committee contact the
Town of Trochu for a discussion of this matter. Carried.
Mr Vic Falls stressed the importance of a good
prime coat on the road to protect it while the other
surfacing is being done Rate of application might
vary from 1 0th to a 4 gal of oil per square yard

per mile according to Mr Malls Mr Malls then thanked
Council and left the meeting
Mr Poole moved that the gravel to be used for the
surfacing from Trochu East to the Tolman Bridge be the
gS4 crush from the river stockpile near the Tolman Bridge

Mr Arn ld Boese of Linden Contractors then met
with Council. He stated they haves approx 13,500 cu.
yds of 11 crush now done at the Tolman location It
was agreed t ey continue crushing at the Tolman location
until the eni of next week, that is to July 2 7th, unless
otherwise ad6rised It was suggested that arrangements
be made with Russell Andrews for any crop damages that
might be inc rred and that the gravel crushing be done
at that local,-ion fairly soon Mr. Boese agreed to find
out when a ball crusher is available ^nd to let Council
know as soon as possible He further stated that they
may not need to move to Drumheller for any crushing
work for the City or others in that area Mr Arnold

done, driveways and crossroads be done to the boundary ROAD

have hope o finding the responsible parties Mr Church
moved that ouncil authorize the laying of charges
against tho e responsible for the vandalism and damages.

Mr Paquette also advised that the block layer is BLOCK LAYER
again working at the new Shop and that the stairway has
been put in.today.
Mr Pe ers reported regarding a water tank owned
by Del Hain'ng and located at the Linden Machine Works.
A definite rice was not available but it should not
exceed $390. They had also been trying to get a water
tank from tie McLennan outfit in Three Hills, but had
not been ab e to find anyone with authority to sell
same. This would be an 1800 gallon tank at approx.
$750.00. Mr. Brown moved that Councillor Peters have
authority tD buy a water tank for this M D Carried
Mr Arnold Boese phoned to advise Council that
they could have the breaker or rock crusher by August
15th.

A letter from the solicitors in Calgary had just
been received together with a proposed agreement with
V A Hanson in respect to the dam in SE- 24- 29 -25 -4
Copies of the proposed agreement were given to the
committee members, Mr Brown and Mr. Poole and they
were author zed without motion to proceed in dealing
with same.
Inform*tion from the A A M.D. & Counties was
referred to Council in respect to:
1. Group flight to Hawaii Each Councillor has a
copy of the information and it was left to the individual
to reply.
2 Notice of Motion of change in By -Law which, in
brief, woul limit the Presidentfs term to a three
year continuous period and would make the past Presid-
ent a member of the executive for one year. This will

A lett r of July 10th /68 from the City of Drumheller
asked the Minicipal District to consider payment of
costs of twc fire calls in the Churchill area and it
was noted that these two calls were prior to the agree-
ment between this District and the City. Pair. Schmelke
moved that douncil refuse payment of these fire calls.
Mr. Sc melke referred to the possible straightening
of the N/S cad at the NE- 26- 34 -25 -4 by filling in the
slough Moran brothers are having a dugout made adjacent
thereto and the dirt is readily available so a combined
agreement might be practical This was referred to the
road committee.
Mr Pe ers moved that this meeting do now adjourn
