D. of Kneehill # 48 special meeting at the Municipal Office, Three Monday April 1/68 commencing at 8.45 A Those present were Mr A. F. Church Div. 1 Mr Cliff Poole 2 Mr. Rat h W Brown 3 (Reeve) Mr. Dunc Peters 4 Mr T t -. Ferguson 5 Mr S Schmelke 6 Mr. C Campbell 7 met in a Hills, on Mr G King, Sec.- `freas , was present and recorded the minutes Mr. Poole moved that Council waive notice of this meeting WAIVE NOTICE and proceed to deal with any matters brought before it. NOTI Carried unan A lette of Mar 28/68 from the Workmens Compensation Board was re d re Mr Garry Iverson. This advised that ERSO N further medi al evidence had been received and he will IVERSO be entitled o compensation during his layoff due to injury This was ord red filed ': letter of Mar. 27/68 from the Supt. of the Three Hills School Division invited Council to send a repres- entative to an organizational meeting re the Youth Travel Exchange Program - meeting to be in Trochu on April 5th at 3.45 P M. Information with the letter was discussed br efly. Mr Peters moved that Mr T A Ferguson rep ' esent thus Municipal District at the said meeting Ca ried The Sec -Treas read to Council a draft of the letter sn respect to Nursing Homes and he asked for Council's opinions in regard to same. Discussion followed. Mr Peters m ved that the following paragraph be added "It is not tie intent of this Municipal District to curtail the rogram except as it may affect taxes in this particu ar portion of the area concerned" , and that dis ribution of the amended letter be to the Board of the Auxiliary Hospital District, to the two representatives of this N1. D., and to the Sec - Treas. of each member Municipality Motion carried Air Peters moved that Mr Paul vdeigum be granted authority to have a trailer parked near his home in Sunnyslope, ubject to a permit first being obtained Carried. The Sec.-Trea3 advised that he had phoned today to the Supervisor of Tax Recovery in Dept of Municipal Affairs and had assurance that a sale would be approved but this could not be onsidered a definite guarantee Mr Campbell moves: 1st Reading to By -Law #580, this being a By-Law under the Tax Recovery Act to sell to Mr. Dave McIntyre of Calgary the old garage located in Pt N11-14-33-13-4 (4.25 i,c ) for a cash price of $200 00, subject to approval of the Minister of Municipal Affairs Carried unan Mr Schmelke noved 2nd Reading to this By -Law Carried unan. Mr. Ferguson noved 3rd :leading to this By -Law Carried unan. One of tie councillors advised that Mr Mirrel Haller GREENLEI'IF had inquired about purchasing or leasing Pt NE- 21- 32 -22 -4 SITE which is ownel by this M D and which has been used as a site for st ckpiling gravel (former Greenleaf School site) It wa agreed that this be tablet: and looked at by Council wh n on road tour Mr. Schm lke moved that this meeting do now adjourn ADJOURN (Time oF adjournment 9.40 A M ) Carried. Paquette, A. Koch, John Dorn and G G King Afternoon - As above, except Ralph Brown not present 1. Walter Anderson 'Nest 6 miles South side of 34 -24 -4 5--1 -- orth side snow problem, numerous dips; minor brush S-2-east half mile - slightly better but needs back sloping est half mile- improve vision, clear brush, re -grade 5 -3- ast half mile -quite good, is back sloped now est half mile- should back slope and raise low places S-4-fast half mile is now back sloped on north but should also be done on the south side. -west half mile - should trim up the grade; fairly good now 5 -5- hould back slope south side; clear brush, etc. 5 -6- cArthurs lovely evergreens on south side too close to road; east half mile has new fence posts on north side ut no wire. 2. Arthtrville south tad -30 -and 31- 33 -24 -4- Improvements had been requested for the mail route This was not inspected 3 To be checked re SIGNS in Div 7 - South of coal mine, South of C C Campbells from south at Nt�LT- 10- 34 -24 -4 4 Huxley southeast - Nest- SW- 16- 34 -23 -4 - Arnold Jensen Should backslope west side for approx. 4 mile. 5 Huxley - East- SE- 20- 34 -23 -4 - Delaney north Should backslope west side along the old lane. 6 Aubrey Hogg north - West -27 & 34- 34 -23 -4 - Petition requests that this be rebuilt to good standard, now has brush, poor vision and is a fair road only 7 West 6 b 35- 34 -23 -4 - Doerksen north - Farm road only, fairly good �or this 8 Nest 3 & 24- 34 -23 -4 - Graded in 1967 - F Weis wants rocks o out the ditch on the east side 9. West h 11- 34 -23 -4 - Meding -Tetz - Millions of tons of rocks, very ad high bank on the west side just north of Art Tetz and also o the south; bins opposite his driveway too close to the road. 10. DINNER 17 5 -26- 1 -23 -4 - Everett - Crawford - dirt road with poor drainage. 18. William Maclean west - consider a low level creek crossing on or near the east -west road allowance to allow machinery traffic, etc. Land deals would be necessary 19. W-28 & 33- 31 -24 -4 - south from former Rosgen place - -not inspec ed. Machine road - perhaps patch and put in some cul- verts, etc. 29 Henry Davis north 2 miles and south 2 miles, fairly a good road now but of poor standard for a district highway as it is now narrow Consider regrading. FJ of 1.5i 22, 27 & 34 in 31 -25 -4. 30 From 33- 31 -25 -4 south 4 miles - 1, Stickel -N. Penner to be onsidered in future for extension of paving, would re- quire 4rading, etc, 31. IV -15 &122- 31 -26 -4 - C H Penner - Fairly good now but brush piles 4hould be burned 32 Slough that rc for the curve a west of SW- 32- 31 -26 -4 - M.
