I.pplicati ns for work were read as received from Walter
Coates, Fred Walsh, Kenneth Bauer, Barry Rempfer, Orville
Hart and John Houtman These were tabled until later in the
meeting.
Mr Dunc Peters advised that Cliff Bristow Motors can
supply two gravel trucks with slight variance from the ori-
ginal specifications - one of these is now at Red Deer and
one at icme Factory delivery would cause a long delay due
to strikes It was agreed that Mr Bristow bring details to
this meeting.

Mr. Cliff Bristow of Bristow Motors Ltd , Three Hills
then met with Council regarding trucks which had been or-
dered from his firm. He stated that due to the strike at
G M Ltd our orders have been delayed.but he advised that
he was able to obtain two trucks similar to those ordered
by us with minor changes in options such as springs, air
cleaner, horns, etc.,but these units did not include foam
seats or transistorized ignitions and would have to be
,r.ainted red as one of the units is blue and the other green.
The above options on these two trucks amounted to a 1.r;.ce
credit of $107.07 and it would cost $110 00 to have them
painted. Mr. Bristow sta,tec that he would supply these
trucks and paint them for the original quoted ;rice
Mr. Ferguls on moved that Council purchase the above
stated units t the price of x'10,742 10 as per By -law
No. 573, passed Jan. 19/68 Carried
Council algreed that they would await delivery of the
one ton G M.C, truck ordered as per By -law No 572, passed
January 19/68
Mr. Ted Faquette gave each Councillor a list of the
present road employees :.pplications on file were reviewed
and general discussion took place regarding the crews,
organization of work, etc It was agreed that a grade stake -
man (or grade foreman) would help reduce engineering costs
and assist wlarge h the grading work 1'a serviceman (mechanic)

Councillors adjourned for dinner from 12 00 noon to

that this information be accepted and filed and that no sick
