Mr G G King, Sec. -Treas was present throughout
most of the meeting and also Mr. H J Hanson was present
throughout the meeting and recorded the minutes
Mr C Dau, representative of the Three Hills School D.Dau
Division, was present for most of this meeting
This meeting was called mainly to deal with tenders
,/ for purch se of new tracks and equipment which had been
called fo previously.
Mr. ordon King, Sec -Treas then reported on his Sales
investiga ions regarding Sales Tax which would be applicable ` Tax
on equlpm nt being traded He stated that whereby we pur-
chase equ pment sales tax exempt within the past five years
and this quipment was now being traded, itwould be
subject t Sales Tax on a depreciated figure
Mr. Dunc Peters moved that in considering truck tenders, A TRUCKS
Council purchase two new gravel trucks without trade, and
two new units trading in No.T17 and T18. Motion carried
Council then were to consider truck bids and the TRUCK
following dealers were present while the tenders were opened BIDS
Mr. Cliff Bristow of Bristow Motors Ltd. Three Hills and
Mr Gordon Long of Long's Auto Sales, Ltd: Three Hills
Also following the opening of the tenders, Mr L.G. Howe
of H T Howe & Sons Ltd came into the meeting
Also present before the bids were opened were Mr T C
Paquette, Public Works Superintendent, Mr Allen Koch,
Grade Foreman, and Mr. Joe Dobler, gravel foreman.

regardin their tenders and trucks They then-left the
meeting nd Council first considered the various fenders
for one ion trucks.
Mr. Peters moved lst Reading to by -law No 572, this
being a by-law to purchase a new GMC one ton truck, chassis
and cab, and trade IHC used one ton for a net cash difference
of $2,40 00, from Bristow -L�oto -s Ltd Carried unan.

There fol owed some discussion regarding engineering,
grade sta es,etc but this was tabled until Spring.
Mr. Halph Brown and Mr Gordon King then gave a
verbal report of their meetings with the Village of
Carbon an the Village of Linden regarding Rural Fire
Protectiom in each of these areas
In e ch case the Village Councils wished to make
further s udy as to costs,, locations,etc for buildings
to house ural fire trucks It was further decided by
Council t at should a Axxxxx decision be received from
these Vil ages prior to January 29th, a Council meeting
be called on that date to discuss the matter further.
Mr Deters moved that this meeting do now adjourn,
with the aext regular meeting to be held on February ath
1968.
