Mr GIG King, Secretary- Treasurer, was present and recorded t e minutes of the meeting Y, Mr P ale moved approval of the minutes of the Council meetings of October 12th and 30th/67 and of the combined approval meeting of Council and the Agricultural Service Board on October 30 h/67 as per copy mailed to each member and Councillor. Carried The monthly Financial Statement for the month ending Fin. October 31/67 was presented and discussed. This showed a V/ St net balance at the end of the month of $44,104 84 but with loans outstanding of $226,000.00. Mr Peters moved approval o,f the Financial Statement Carried A card of thanks was read from Mrs Emma Poole for thanks - flowers sent to her while a patient in hospital recently. Mrs Poole Mr Poole advised that she is now at home and recovering well. It was ordered filed. He had attended the recent convention of the Urban Assoc- iation as a delegate from the Provincial Executive, and stated that the Tribunal will not be included in the Act, that property qualifications will not be needed for Councillors, and that the matter of deposits by candid- ates running for office may be optional. Mr Doug Hazelton of Linden Contractors met with Council a d stated that they are completing the work at Megli?s today with a total of 13,000 cu.yds He ad- vised that the work completed at McVeigh's was 16,120 cu yds in the stockpile, 1380 crushed to trucks, and 109 cu ydt private for a total of 17,609 cu.yds Of this 12,000 cu yds had come from the river, and 5,609 cu.yds. from the McVeigh land. Carried. A letter from the District Engineer, Calgary, Dep1t. Dry of Highways, was read in regard to the Dry Canyon Hill and Canyon the road zkaswtx proposed in Sec 27- 29 -21 -4. This stated hill that the r quired grade would be 7% but there would be very deep cuts and high hills. Mr. Loosmore moved that Council ask fora ietailed study of this project with cost estimates, and that t ose undertaking the work be asked to contact Mr, ® A.H Churca when so doing Carried A le ter from B A. Mr oosmore asked for information as to the name of Abramenko the Oil Co pany responsible for certain grading work between south Sec. 9 and 10- 31 -23 -4, (Fred Abramenko South). The Company ' had not in tailed culverts that were needed but the M D has since put some in. Mr. Albert Kimmel and Ray crew Ehrman have filled in on the operation of the Wagner at illness the stockpiling East of Trochu Mr Alex Williams had an eye operation yesterday and will be off work for some kz months.
