COUNCIL Oct 1 gular meeting of the Council of the Municipal Kneehill No:48 was held at the Municipal office, on Thursday, October 12th/67 commencing at llors present were H Church Div 1 W Poole Div.2 W. Mr D C Dau, representative of the School Division, was also present throughout the Mr Church moved approval of the minutes of Sept.11 /th 25th/67 as,per copy which had been mailed to each Councillor Carried. I The Nonthly Statement for the month ending September 30th/67 walc presented and discussed This showed a net balance of $27,868 76 as per copy with these minutes Loans outstandinE at the end of September were $363,000.00. The Secretary- reasurer also advised the Council that the Contingency Road Grant of $75,000 00 has been received in October. Mr Peters moved approval of this Financial Statement. Carried Monthly St Council was advised that the Trochu Light Horse Assoc. Light has sent a cheque for $200.00 to be applied against the Horse Assoc. expenses of the Tolman Park. Mr. Campbell moved that this :x;200. be accepted and that a receipt and note of thanks be sent. They are now crushing gravel at McVeigh's and will be finishing the stockpile about noon. Total quantity from McVeigh it will be between 13,000 and 14,000 cu.yds. Mr. Hazelton gravel advised that they could take some more gravel from the floor V of the stockpile area and estimated a further 2500 cu yds there. Mr Campbell moved that Linden Contractors clean this out while alt that location Carried Mr Loosmore, Brown, Church and King reported on gravel prospects at the Garson land in Sec.28- 30 -21 -4. to the large number of rocks, it would definitely need bull crusher. Church be a committee Lowen to see about cleaning out further gravel at the Lowen pit gravel near Dunphy, and that he be empowered to make arrangements with Linden Contractors if deemed advisable Carried Stockpiling at the river east of Trochu was discussed Tolman briefly and Council was advised that approximately 17,000 cu. gravel yds have been taken out up to now Mr Schmelke moved that the stockpiling be continued at least until the 30th of October. Carried. Mr Hazelton advised that Linden Contractors had used Municipal trucks for approximately 10 hrs, and the rate would be $ 10 per hr, but that they had fixed the dead haul road at M Veigh °s and had also done some testing for the Municipal District Mr Peters moved that Council consider that these items be of equal value and no accounts rendered either way.1 Carried Linden Contractors were advised to move next to the Megli Megli pit to clean up -the amount there is an estimated ,,' gravel 10,000 cu.yds. Mr. Peters then moved that this Rec.grants be tabled until after the Fall Convention of the A.A.M D. Carried. Carried Reev Brown read the Municipal Inspector's Report giving the details of his 1967 inspection. It was noted that the r port was generally satisfactory but some minor details hac been overlooked, particularly as regards dates Mr Poole moved that receipt of the Municipal Inspector' Report be acknowledged and that it be kept on file to be read at the next Annual Meeting of ratepayers. Carried. -The after of a Municipality leasing out a part of the NE-16-12-26-4 (gravel pit land) was discussed. Mr. Peters adv sed that Mr Frank Neufeld now has cattle pastured on this land without permission The Sec -Treas also advised Council that Mr. Neufeld had failed to make payment for hay which he had put up on a share agreement. Carried The Secretary-Treasurer advised Council he had phoned Labour to the Dep rtment of Labour, Edmonton in regard to the Conf Conference on October 30th and had been advised that it was for a discussion of the Labour Act and that the Conference would likely last three or four days.
