balance of $27,868 76 as per copy with these minutes Loans
outstandinE at the end of September were $363,000.00. The
Secretary- reasurer also advised the Council that the
Contingency Road Grant of $75,000 00 has been received in
October. Mr Peters moved approval of this Financial

Yx Doug Hazelton of Linden Contractors met with ✓ D Hazelton
Council.
They are now crushing gravel at McVeigh's and will
be finishing the stockpile about noon. Total quantity from McVeigh
it will be between 13,000 and 14,000 cu.yds. Mr. Hazelton gravel
advised that they could take some more gravel from the floor V
of the stockpile area and estimated a further 2500 cu
yds there.
Mr Campbell moved that Linden Contractors clean this

Mr. Doug Hazelton was asked to keep a separate record
of the McVeigh gravel which they crush but which does not McVeigh

Doug Pazelton advised that all gravel had been cleaned W. Tetz

Mr Hazelton advised that Linden Contractors had used
Municipal trucks for approximately 10 hrs, and the rate
would be $ 10 per hr, but that they had fixed the dead haul
road at M Veigh °s and had also done some testing for the

A ci cular from the Department of Youth in regard to Dept of
Recreation Grants was reviewed briefly with Council and Youth -
some discussion followed. Mr. Peters then moved that this Rec.grants
be tabled until after the Fall Convention of the A.A.M D.

Repl of Mr Reg Adams, P.F.R.A. was read to Council Reg Adams

Corr spondence pertaining to Arnold Cole and the
rent regarding the house which he has occuppied in
Swalwell was read to Council Mr Cole had advised that
he is pres ntly unable to pay rent and had plans to move
to Olds but that he may pay up the back rent later one
when he go s back to work Mr Campbell moved that this

Reev Brown read the Municipal Inspector's Report
giving the details of his 1967 inspection. It was noted
that the r port was generally satisfactory but some minor
details hac been overlooked, particularly as regards
dates Mr Poole moved that receipt of the Municipal
Inspector' Report be acknowledged and that it be kept on
file to be read at the next Annual Meeting of ratepayers.

the NE-16-12-26-4 (gravel pit land) was discussed. Mr.
Peters adv sed that Mr Frank Neufeld now has cattle
pastured on this land without permission The Sec -Treas
also advised Council that Mr. Neufeld had failed to make
payment for hay which he had put up on a share agreement.

advising him to take his cattle out of this land and that
he must pay the balance owing to this Municipal District

A le ter from the Director of Surveys, Department Wimborne
of Highway 3, was read to Council in regard to the proposed Church
Wimborne C urch property and cancellation of a portion of property

The Secretary-Treasurer advised Council he had phoned Labour
to the Dep rtment of Labour, Edmonton in regard to the Conf
Conference on October 30th and had been advised that it was
for a discussion of the Labour Act and that the Conference
would likely last three or four days. Mr. Church moved that
the Labour Committee discuss this further on October 19th
as to whet er or not a delegate should be sent, and that this

Mr. Loosmore advised that he had contacted the Ghost Ghost Pine
