Council was advised that Miss Joyce Weber is serving this Di trict for the summer months as District Home Economilct but that Miss Katherine Young has been appointed to the position of District Home Economist for the M.D. of Knee ill and the Towns and Villages in it and that she should be working out of our office starting in September of this year A letter of appreciation has been sent to the Department in this connection. Mr. Cliff Showers of Street,Robbins,Morrow also met with Council at this time. Mr Showers stated that he would like to demonstrate the Caterpillar 950 Wheel loader with 2 to 22 cu.yds. bucket a out mid- August or later. Carried. A letter from the Mountain View - Kneehill Auxiliary Hospital District was read to Council in regard to Nursing Nursing Homes. This was the same letter as had been tabled from Homes the meeting on June 28th. Considerable discussion followed, with Mr Loosmore and Mr Schmelke as members of that Board giving further information They suggested that the Nursing Home could be adjacent to some hospitals so as to use existing facilities and stated there seems to be a definit need for Nursing Homes Mr. Schmelke suggested that pe haps the Government will enter the picture in the nex year or so Mr. Loosmore agreed to this, but stated hat there's a definite need to get started. He also adirised that the land concerned must be owned by the Governizig Board No definite information was available as to the procedure necessary to borrow the money for Nursing Home co struction, so this is to be investigated Co siderable discussion also took place regarding the propose locations with one to be in the M.D. of Kneehill area bu no decision made as to whether it should be at Three H lls or Trochu or even some other location One is to be i the Mountain View area, but again no decision has been made as to its location. No estimate of costs were available. Mr Brown moved that this Council recommend to the said Auxiliary Hospital District that the matter of construction of two ursing Homes be tabled until 1968.
