The resented COUNCIL MEETING May 15, 1967 (cont'd from May 8/67) Council meeting that had adjourned from X67, was reconvened at the Municipal office Hills on Monday, May 15th/67 with all Irs in attendance Campbell was absent for the May 8th meeting )resent throughout this meeting, together others. G G King, Secretary- Treasurer, was present •ded the minutes. Three Hills School Division was not rep - at this meeting Page 14 r The Secretary- Treasurer gave Council a detailed COSTS RE breakdowa of all costs connected with Weather WEATHER Modification project and vote in 1967. This included MODIF estimatei time spent by office staff and Council. BY -LAW members, legal expenses,etc The total was Y1,641.57. Mr Campbell moved that this report be accepted and that a letter be sent to the Kneehill Ratepayers Protective Association with a copy to the Kneehill Weather Modification Association outlining the cost. Carried Mr. Schmelke moved that a report be put in the Three Hills Capital as to the total cost In connection �- with Weather Modification as shown above Carried. A report from the Orkney Athletic Association Orkney was read to Council outlining the activities of that Athletic Association in 1966 Mr Loosmore moved that the Assoc report be accepted and filed Carried. Mr I G G King gave a verbal report of the meeting Report of of the Central Alberta Association of Municipal meeting of Distric s held at Stettler recently. This included Central reference to amendm -nts to the various Statutes affecting A A M D Municip 1 Districts and Counties and other general items of interest Others who had been at that meeting from this District added a few remarks. Mr Church moved that the report be adopted Carried. Mr. G.G King reported that Miss Mabel Morgan M Morgan had found she was unable to carry on with the work of History preparing a history book of Municipal life in this book District and that no alternate arrangements had been made to date This was discussed briefly. Mr Peters moved that the Secretary- Treasurer contact Mrs Grace Gore of Swalwell district in respect to taking on the work of preparing the said History book Carried. Mr. G G King, as Welfare Officer, read to Council Re a circular regarding Child Welfare Protection services Welfare and rec mmended that they request the provincial Dep °t report of Public Wmx x Welfare to take full responsibility for Child Welf all Child Welfare in this District effective immediately. Mr Loo more moved that the Provincial Department of Public elfare be requested to take full responsibility for all Child Welfare protection Cervices with in the Municipal District of Kneehill effective immediately, and that notice in this regard be put in the Three Hills Capital. Mr Loosmore moved that, subject to proper laxymEmkx agreements, the Municipal District build the road and supply the culvert for S/SW- 35- 27 -21 -4 Lengthy discussion followed and Mr. oosmore then withdrew his motion. Item No 8 - Mr Loosmore moved that the Reeve and the road committee investigate the whole situation in further detail and report back to Council. Carried Item No. 9 - Mr Church reported he would like this mile of grading included j* if time permits. Item No. 14 - Mr Poole moved that Mr R 0.
