munidipal Planning Commission regarding building permits,

required for development in Hamlets or small subdivisions

Council was advised that all members are to meet with
a Provincial Bridge inspector at our office the morning of
Tuesday, April 25th at 9 30 A M to inspect bridges,etc,
in SE- 14- 31 -24 -4, Brosseau and S/5E- 3- 34 -25 -4, Bigelow east.
Council was shown a copy of a 1960 proposal to straighten
the road for a new bridge at Brosseau°s and this showed a
6% grade ani approximately 40,000 cu yds of fill This
will be available for the meeting with the Bridge Inspector
on Tuesday. It was further agreed that Council spend the
rest of that day on road tour

Mr. Campbell moved 1st Reading to by -law No 548 this
being a by-law to raise the maximum load limits to 5 ,000
lbs on all roads within this Municipal District with the
exception of travel over the four bridges as listed above
and over any other bridges which might be listed as unsafe
from time to time, and that this by -law be effective as
from June 1 t, 1967 Carried unan Mr Loosmore moved
2nd Reading to this by -law Carried unan. Mr. Peters
moved 3rd R ading to this by -law. Carried unan
Mr Te Paquette, Public Works Superintendent, was
asked to ch ck regarding signs for bridge loading, and
somE for 45,000 lb limit and some for 20,000 lb.

The new policy for insurance of Municipal trucks
was shown to Council and reviewed briefly Council was
also advised that the new traxcavator has been insured

increase Mr Peters moved that the policy for truck
insurance be raised to $500,000 for public liability
and property damage Carried

that an order be placed through the A A M D for grader
blades for a maximum load of 56,000 lbs including the
vehicle and that the order be for Stelco 1/211 blades
81 long, and that 2 kegs of grade 5 plow bolts and nuts
be also ordered, that delivery of the blades be 2/3 of
the quantity to Three Hills and 1/3 to Carbon Carried
Information from the Bridge Branch stated that a
new bridge for W/SW- 16- 32 -24 -4, Creekside south, will be
three 2$1 sp ns with 241 clear roadway. Mr Poole moved
that this information be accepted and filed Carried

be

Council suggested that the figure for the 494 be raised
to a total cf 20,000 cu yds to make sure that supplies
would be on hand and as any extra could be used for road
work anyway
Mr. Peters moved that Linden Contractors be advised
that this Municipal District will have over 80,000 cu yds
of crushing for that Firm and that Linden Contractors be
asked to continue our work on a steady basis C arried.
Mr Ke lowitsch was asked if there would be need of
a scale to vreigh gravel trucks hauling for the paving
project but he stated that, in his opinion, this would not
be necessary.

Provision of oil for the cold mix was discussed
briefly and Mr Peters moved that Western Asphalt be asked
to submit a written quote for prices for supply of the
required oil. Carried
Mr Ke lowitsch advised that some overtime may be needed
as it is dl flcult to time everything so that work can be
completed within regular working hours Any delay in
receiving oil and other factors could influence this

Council to educe the speed limit to 30 m p h from due east
of the Mote and past Grantville. This was discussed at petition
