King, Secretary- Treasurer, was present and recorded the minutes Mr Joe Dobler, gravel foreman, met with Council re- garding a gravel checker. He has a full crew otherwise He further advised that Leonard Litz is back to work this morning after his illness Mr Orval Mchrthur will be busy with Prova cial election work until sometime in the early part of June and that is the reason there is need for a gravel checker Mr S hmelke moved that one of the older truck drivers or gravel drew employees be authorized to act as checker Carried. This letter Engineering was dated pril 4th and referred to this Company's bid through the said Co -Op to carry on a program of Weather Modificati n in 1967 This matter had not been referred to Council p viously Mr L osmore moved that this be filed. Har -Rood 3 Let er of April 14/67 from 0tConnor & Associates to Woollia & Associates Mr. James Harwood stated that he would prefer to have his name on the voter t s list and 1 hr t of Vernon Hanson removed in respect to to t'ie NE -13- and S2- 24- 29 -25 -5, V, but he agreed that the Post recent Court Order in conn- ection with the property showed that Mr Vernon Hanson had what amounted to an Agreement for Sale. He further outlined thE problems he had had in connection with the property an stated he could not be certain of the situation 14r G. King, as Secretary - Treasurer, advised Mr Harwood and the Council, that, in his opinion, the name of Vernon Hanson must stay on the voter's list and that 14r. James H rwood's name cannot be added, even though the latter is the registered owner. Mr Ha wood agreed to leave the decision to the Secretary -�easurer and Council and Mr James Harwood and Mr. Joe Ha ood then left the meeting. A letter from O?Connor, OtConnor & Murphy, Solicitors for Mr Vernon Hanson, and addressed to this office, under date of April 14th/67, was then read. King It was agreed that those who are going might meet at Three Hills about 9 30 A.M. that morning, but that a further check be made regarding this on April 25th A circular from the A A M D was read to Council in respect to a proposed contract with Sun Life Assurance Co. to provide Group Life Insurance, pay benefits, and other features This letter also suggested that a representative of the Company meet with the Council and employees for a full discussion of the terms and other matters. Mr Brown moved that a representative of Sun Life be invited to meet with the local group, either May lst or May 2nd at 8:00 P M Carried. Mr. Teo Paquette, Public Works Superintendent, then met with Coluncil Recent bridge and culvert information was reviewed with Mr. Pa uette very briefly and then ordered filed Mr Pe ers, Poole and Paquette advised they had attended th sale at Red Deer recently but had not pur- chased any acker or other equipment as they had con- sidered the prices were too high. They then advised that other sales are going to be held soon in the neighborhood. Mr Loosmor moved that the Shop Committee be authorized to attend machinery sales at Airdrie, Edmonton or other places within reasonable distance with authority to pur- chase the needed campaction or other such equipment. Carried. The Se retary - Treasurer advised Council regarding the sales of pu 1 graders which had been authorized. 1.
