The Council meeting that had adjourned from March 6th
1967, was reconvened in the Municipal office at 9 00 A M
on Friday, March 10th with all Councillors again present
except Mr A H Church who was absent during the fore;-�oon
but present 'n the afternoon
Mr G G.1 King,Secretary- Treasurer, was present and
recorded the minutes
Mr. Ted Paquette, road superintendent, was present
throughout the meeting
A letter from Mr Jim Bishop was read regarding the Cream
road conditi n at the Cream Coulee hill near the NW- corner Coulee
of 8- 31 -22 -4 It was agreed without motion that some con-
sideration bE given to this when the 196'' road program is
drafted.
A letter of January 10th /67 from the Provincial Deptt. Discuss
of Highways was read in regard to the Special Contingency re
Road Grant General discussion followed at some length Contingency
with special reference to the terms that this should be Gr
spent on secondary roads and that, in case of paving, the
Government pays 75% of the cost and the Municipal District
25% up to a roximum amount There is no information avail- v
able as to the total grant that may be made to this District
for 1967
The Res urce Road Grant was also discussed briefly
but tabled til the afternoon
The Shol Committee reported that they had asked for
some bids regarding certain machinery and trade in offers bids for
on the Curti Wright Scraper Mr Poole moved that the machinery
time for submitting bids on this machinery be extended until
noon on Mond y, March 13th Carried
The Secretary-Treasurer reported to Council that there new
was need for additional phones and intercom set up in the phones,
basement due to the extension of the work of the District V etc
Agriculturis ,etc. It was agreed teat. the Secretary -Treas
have authority to proceed with these changes
Councilladjourned for dinner from 12 00 noon to 1 00 P.M.
Mr. A.H Church, Councillor for Div }1 was also present
in the , to oon and stated he had been unable to come ' A.H.Church
during the m rning due to road conditions
The Secretary-Treasurer adviser?. Council that he has
just received five copies of Bill No 50 from the Provincial
Government, this being the proposed Act regarding Municipal
Government He suggested this should be given some study
and will be f considerable interest to Municipal Districts.

bill home fo perusal
The application for 1967 Resource Road Grant was then
given further consideration with special reference to

moved that an applie-r-viUT1 be made for the Resource Road
Grant for grading prom the SW corner of Sec 2;'- 29 -,�1 -4

-4 (W of L Coates) to bring this road up to a standard

Toews who had been drowned in the Kneehill creek The
boat had apparently been used for a week or 10 days and
required a n w motor, and some people of the District
had suggested that the Municipal District consider paying
the costs of the motor to Mr Penner This was discussed.
It was noted that others had donated a considerable amount
of time and also equipment so it was difficult to set a
precedent.
Mr Brown moved that an enr'eavor be made to set up a
fund through Emergency Measures Organization to provide

Mr Poole advised that the Village of Carbon has
a boiler for sale which had been previously set up for
thawing out culverts. The approximate price is $170 00
Mr Peters moved that Mr Poole check further regarding
this with po er to buy if he deems it advisable Carried

Council was advised that Industrial & Road Equipment
have a film on Sanitary Land fill which they have offered film
to show to Council This was tabled as no suitable date
could be set at this time
It was noted that the usual meeting with Town and
Village representatives and other Governing officials
of the area, had not yet been held Mr Poole moved that
the Secretary-Treasurer write to the Hon Gordon Taylor
regarding a date for a joint meeting with Towns and
Village repr sentatives and other governing officials and
