A circular was read to Council in regard to the Conf re 3rd Annual Joint Conferance of the Alberta Fire Protection Fire Association and the Alberta Provincial Fire Chiefs? Protection Association which will be held at the Chateau Lacombe in Assoc Edmonton on March 20th, 21st and 22nd Mr Brown moved that any two the following Councillors be authorized to attend as elegates Mr Peters, Mr Campbell, Mr Loosmore Carried A request dated January 31st, 1967 from Canadian Can Ut Utilities for permission to enlarge its substation in the re SW- 18- 32 -23 -4 was referred to Council, together with the V SW- 18 -32 -23 attached diagram Mr Peters moved that this be approved subject to any obstruction being at least 1001 from the centre of the road Carried The Fina cial reports regarding the Community Community Associations cf Mount Vernon, Grainger, Three Hills Assoc Is Rural, and thE Town of Three Hills, were read to Council reports, These includec the general statement of revenue and U etc expenditures in each case, and the use of the facilities. Mr Loos ore moved that P F.R.A. be asked to investigate and report regarding the possibility of a dam or dams on the Three Fills Creek for storage of water In times of I/ high flood so that same will be available for drier times downstream Carried Mr Ted aquette, foreman, had advised Council that we have an old set of D7 rails which are of no use to us and that Mr Mel Luepke of Industrial & Road Equipment stated that they were interested in the purchase He had suggested a price of approximately $150 00 Mr Peters moved that Council authorize the sale of the said rails to Industrial & Road Equipment at $150 00 cash. Carried. Carried unan Mr G.G. ing, Secretary- Treasurer, advised Council Sales Tax on that he had be En in telephone conversation with the trucks Department of National Revenue at Ottawa and had obtained further inform tion in regard to Sales Tax applicable on vehicles being traded in The said office had issued a bulletin given the depreciation allowances which are applicable but had failed to send one to this office A copy of that bulletin is now being mailed here and should arrive within EL few days The depreciation rate as given is the by telephone of a vehicle two years of age 35% of domestic price with the interpretation of the term "domestic price" as some hat indefinite Council agreed that the shop committee investigate this further and review the purchase agreements with Highway Motors and report back ' to Council on February 27th The Secretary-Treasurer advised Council that he had Prev received word of a Preventive Welfare meeting in Drumheller Welfare to be held on March 1st at 2 00 P M Mr Peters moved rpeeting that Mr Church, Mr Campbell and Mr King be delegates to that meetin . Carried Mr. Loosm re referred to the lack of news reports news since the star of 1967 and it was explained that this was reports due to the rusa of work at the start of the year and the I/ absence of the Secretary- Treasurer on holiday.
