Dec 16th and asked that they put gavel on various hills which were very icy, This had been done though it meant that the truckers worked later than usual The three foremen, T Paquette, Ellen Koch, and Joe Dobl r, met with Council and were present while all items pertaining to machinery, etc , were dealt with. No cost estimates were actually available but preliminary discussion took place re capital expenditures for 1967 trade ins,rzce differences, etc Price diff 4 new gr vel trucks - trade in 3 $18,000. Peters moved that all bids for machinery and trucks, tc , referred to earlier in this meeting must be receiired in writing; at the Municipal Office not later thin 12 noon on Sat Jan 14th /67 and that these bids be pened and considered by Council on Tuesday, January 7/67, with truck bids at 9 L11 and other machiner bids at 1 P i,. The men asked that they permitted to start early in the summer months and thus quit earlier each day Council had no objection as long as the work was in daylight hours anc.'i without reduction in total. See page 19 L/ V f V 14 N 11 FORM JrP SPECIAL MUNICIP SUPPLIES LTD, COUNCIL MEETING DEC. 19/66 rage 19 Pen ion Plan - Council and employees had met the fore oon of Dec 15th with representatives of Canada L fe Assurance Co. The present ,plan and. the Frovisio s of the recent Provincial legislation has keen ful y outlined and discussed. The employees requeste that the Pension Plan be continued. Council greed to this without motion. It was also agreed that any employee asked to report f r work on any day be given a minimum of 4 hrs t'me as this is required by Prov. regulations. The employees had requested the rxE%t to take a Saturday off work without any pay or hourly credit where the Saturday follows a Friday which is a holiday sir Loos ore moved that Council agree to grant this privileg .
