Mr Loosmore moved that the minutes of the meeting
of Nov, 7th & 28th/66 be approved, subject to one correction*
Nov 28 Page 21 report of Labor Seminar was given by
Mr, Brown and Mr Poole (not Idr Loosmore) . Carried
The financial statement for the month ending
Nov 30/(6 was presented and discussed as per copy with
these mi utes This showed a net debit balance of FINANCIAL
$64,785 7, and $117,000 owing on loans STATE14ENT

Mr. H J Hanson, Asst. Sec. -Treas , presented the
general accounts and paysheets for consideration E.CCOUNTS
Hr Peters moved that these be approved for payment,
as per list with these minutes Carried.
Rev. Hastie, Hr R Carlson, and i1r. Jack Benedict
met with Council on behalf of the Wimborne Alliance ED4BOPdTZ-
Church They wish to build a new church and prefer a ALLIANCE
location just north of their existing one so as to use CHURCH
water fa ilities, etc Space is limited so they asked
about pu chase of a portion of the street along the
north si e of their property; app 40 ft, width requested.
Mr. Pete s moved that iir. Schmelke meet with this comm
at the site and investigate the possibility of moving the
street to the north by getting some property from the
United Church Carried The comm thanked Council and
then left the meeting.
Mr. Loosmore moved that Council approve of the above
proposal regarding the Wxmborne street in principle Carried
Some, criticism was expressed in respect to Allen ALLEN
Kochfs criticism of the south crews work, particularly KOCH
immediat ly after the fall convention of the A A M D.
This was referred to the employer - employee comm.
Mr. Loosmore thanked Council for the book given to

The ec. -Treas reported on the Hearing of the ALLEN TOEWS
Prov Pla ning Board re the Allen Toews subdiv in SUBDIV
SE- 6 -31 -2 -4 The Board had refused the application
but verba ly agreed to a revised application for
the E-- of LSD 8 in SE- 6- 31 -25 -4. The application
has now been submitted for approval. Mr. Church moved
that Council accept this report and approve of the revised
application Carried
It w s noted from minutes of the Calgary regional
Planning omm that the mosaic will be supplied to this MOSAIC
District ithout charge. Other items showed that the
Highway s orage site at Trochu was approved, etc.

Mr rown moved that Council approve of Canadian CE:N UT
Utilities services to Abe Thiessen in SV1- 28- 30 -25 -4 as THIESSEN
per plan ubmitted. Carried

Mr. Peters reported that he had talked to TRr Ray
Dau in r Bard to the Co -op discussions for provision NATURAL
of natural gas service to Grantville and adjacent GAS
farmers Mr yay Dau had asked that Council table
decision re the offer of Plains Western Gas until early
in 1967. ?fir Peters moved that the decision be tabled

The Sec Treas reviewed with Council a list of taxes
which are deemed uncollecti.ble Mr Schmelke moved 1st BY -LA7i! #

cancellation of uncollectible taxes as listed, subject TAXES
to approval of the i4inister of Municipal Affairs. ( See

Mr Peteris moved that no change be made in the offer
as to ho rly rate for payloader operator (Cl. b.)

Pair Peters moved that the offer of a guarantee be changed
to $350- CO per mo for all categories, with an added
conditior that full settlement will be made each month

Mr. PoolE moved that there be no change in the hourly
rate Off Erred for the machine operators in the road
crews, BIT that transportation to and from the road camp
be provided from either Three Hills or Carbon without
charge a d with no travel time pay (Cl c & e ) Carried,
Mr Petel}s moved there be no change in the hourly rate i
offerred for Motor Grader operators (Cl f ) Carried
Mr Poold moved there be no change in the hourly rate
offerred for general laborers except that those with
3 yrs continuous employment with this District be paid

work on ny Sunday or Statutory Holiday be paid for such Y,
days at 2 times the regular rate Carried
Mr Campbell moved that Council agree Rd to 8 hrs credit

Workmen's Compensation benefits, and also for time off
when entitled to sick leave Carried
Mr JPoole moved that no change be authorized in
regard t Clause 5 of the 1966 agreement re annual Holidays

Mr Ra�ph W Brown acted as Chairman of the meeting
and Mr. G. . King recorded the minutes
Dr Symington, of the Federal Healt% of Animals Branch,
Drumheller, met with the group and discussed matters per-
taining to it Brucellosis Free Area - procedure and regulations
were outlined - spot testing is being done and %fir G Park
is giving him useful information as to places of residences,
etc Other discussion followed and a number of questions
were asked 4nd answered by him He was thanked and then
left the me ting
Circul r of Oct 31/66 from the Alta Dept of Agric-
ulture was ead re ai- thority of a Municipality to pass a
By -Law to p ovide that vehicles carrying, material containing
weed seeds r screenings must be adequately covered with a
tarpaulin o a similar cover. It was noted that no sample
type of By-Law was provided
A letter from the County of Mountain View advised that
they do not have any By -Law re the above The M D of
Rocky View liad advised, by phone, that it has no such
Dy -Law
Difficitlty of drafting a fair By -Law and of enforcing
same were discussed
Mr. Rock moved that the above correspondence and
reports be tabled and no action taken re the By -Law at
this time Carried

Under ARDA rogram $16. per mile for roadside and /or field
planting in any approved location - each yr for 3 yrs
Assistance 'n each case must be approved in regard to
good cultiv tion, etc
Mr Po le moved that the Municipal assistance be
extended at the same rate for all roadside plantings

Mr Ro k moved that a poster be prepared to give
information of the policies re tree planting assistance and
that a copy of the poster be mailed with each financial
statement. Carried
idr Go don Park gave each a copy of his report as
Agricultura Fieldman and read same to the meeting Copy
is included with the original of these minutes
Mr Loosmor moved acceptance of the report. Carried
Mr Go don Park gave a brief report of the Conference
of the Alta Association of Agricultural Fieldmen, and the
highlights f the minutes were given. He also stated that
the Associa ion is seeking, recognition from 1Jiunicipalities
and the Gov rnment Mr Campbell moved that the report
be accepted Carried
A circ lar from McCabe Seeds stated that it wished to
tender for teed requirements Mr Poole moved that this
be filed, Varried
Mr Br wn reported that the Cooperative Trading Div
of the A A M. D. may handle grass seeds le is not
personally upporting this very strongly as it might
reduce the rice to farmer producers
Counci for Mr R Loosmore left the meeting at this
time, due t the fact that he was dust recovering from
