Mr Church stated that he had not been able to contact Mr Gordon McCracken in regard to his $2.50 account for McCRACKEN snowplowing and asked that this be tabled until 'a later meeting. This was agreed. The f4 lowing correspondence was read in regard tm the proposed w1ater injection scheme for the Three Hills Oilfield. 1. Nov 7/66 letter from the Department of Water Resources which reviewed the situation and had stated that a permit WATER for use of groundwater had been granted, subject ti certain INJECTION restrictions 2 Let er of Nov $/66 from the Oil and Gas Conservation Board. Counc 1 was advised that the Road Diversion between ROAD Sec. 14 a d 23 in 31 -23 -4 had been cancelled in 1957 CANCELLED This was or information in reply to a request at the previous _eeting of Nov-7th. Mr Loosmore moved that this be a cepted and filed. Carried Notic was read that an Alberta E.M.O. Conference E M. A. will be h ld at Red Deer on Feb.9th and 10th, 1967 Mr. Churci moved that this be tabled until early in 1967 for appoi tmOUt of delegates Carried. A letter from Silver Line Fire Equipment was read in FIRE respect to the Trochu fire truck indicating that necessary TRUCK im1;:u: is and checking would be done Mr Peters ad- vised tha a new rim and tire had been purchased as a spare for that fire truck. FIRES Report of the Fire C *mmissioner in respect to fire losses in the district was read Mr. Poole moved that this be accepted and filed. Carried A circular of Nov 18th from the Department of Public Welfare gave authority for the usual Christmas bonus with the Department paying 80% of the cost. The bonus is $5.00 for each adult in the family and $2 50 for each child in the family on regular welfare. Carried Mr Tell Paquette and G. Carried Mr Peters reported that the Shop Committee has been endeavoring to get some bids fir moving the metal building , from our present shop yard to across the tracks but has not had an replies to date Mr. Pa uette reported that Mr. Harry Chambers as cook H. CHAMBERS has worked up to and including Nov 14th and would have COOK proceeded further except that no work was available. FENCES for moving fences east of 35- 33 -23 -4 and that Mr. Dunc Peters be raid $210. for moving fences south of 17 -32- 24-4 Carried Mr. Church moved that Mr. Rowbottom be paid at the 1966 rates for land and fence north of the NE- 19- 29 -21 -4 and that he be paid $20 00 crop damage for approximately 80 rods of cr p which was affected by grading work this year. Carried. Mr Pe ers moved that Mr Ralph Loosmore be paid $28 00 for fencin adjacent to the government culvert in northeast corner of he 5E- 12- 31 -24 -4. Carried. Mr Ca pbell reported that Mr Alf. Meehan and Pete and Mike Frere should be given some payments for moving their fences at the Trochu southeast job as he had asked them to remove the fences late in 1965 and they had done so Mr Schmelke m ved that a committee of Mr. Campbell and G.G. W% - 34- 33 -25 -4 - A. Schneider north - Mr. Schmelke moved that the Council accept the proposal of an arch culvert 849 x 6191 and witho other details as outlined. Carried 10. In NE- 31- 33 -22 -4 - S Kahler - Mr Campbell moved that the Secretary-Treasurer write to Mr Danchuk, District Engineer, regarding the necessary profiles so that a new culver may be obtained "arried 11 W/ W- 5- 34 -22 -4 - Donaldson south - Mr Campbell moved that the Secretary write Mr. Danchuk, District Engineer for the necessary profiles so that a new culvert can be obtained 12 W/ - 31- 33 -25 -4 - Meers, Dickinson - culvert needed is less than 609 diameter. 13. S/ E- 3- 34 -25 -4 - Bigelow east - Mr Schmelke moved that we advise the Bridge Branch that the road is to be improved in , 1967, that the motor grader now does not cross the resent bridge due to its weak condition and that v a new brid e is definitely needed for 1967 Carried 14 W/ 1011 W- 8- 29 -24 -4 - S Malaka - Mr Poole moved that Mr Danchu be requested to supply the necessary profiles so that a culvert will be supplied Carried. Carried Mr. and Mrs Weisenburger were invited back into the meeting and kkxxxdmzkxi*mxxm& given this decision and told of the procedure in sending the application to Edmonton for final appr val, etc They thanked Council and then left the meetin The three foremen then returned to the Council meeting ✓ FOREMEN A lett r from the Town of Three Hills stated they wished to jurchase the grader belt from this District at a price of $150.00 but wished to delay payment until 1967 Mr Peters moved that Council approve delivery of the belt to th Town now with the payment to be made in January 1967 Car ied Mr. Ch rch moved that Mr. Steve Goacher be granted leave of absence from the south crew from December 1/66 until next Spring as per his verbal request Carried. To the correction line 6,000 cu.yds. At the pit 9,000 cu yds Total 25,000 cu yds All amounts given are estimates. Motion carried, Mr. Dr ler advised that Linden Contractors had some LINDEN assistance from one of the M D trucks with the stockpiling CONT at certain times and he asked if this should be required. The Secretary-Treasurer was advised to write Linden j Contractor to tell them that their contract at the Megli -' pit includ s stockpiling at the east side of the Creek.
