Campbell Div.1 Div 2 Div 3 (Reeve) Div.4 Div.5 Div 6 Div 7 Mr. G G King, Secretary- Treasurer was present and recorded the minutes of the first portion of this meeting only, but then left to attend the Hearings of the Alberta Assessment Appeal Board at our office Mr. H J Hanson recorded the balance of the minutes Page 1 Mr P ters moved that Council waive notice of this meeting and proceed with any business that may be brought before it. Carried unan. The m nutes of October 24th/66, part of Page 18 were reviewed briefly in respect, to the business dealing with Arnold Boese of Linden Contractors and also regarding Mallett Contractors Council was advised that a committee of Mr Schmelke Mr Poole and G King had met with Mr Ford Mallett of Mallett Contractors at the Megli pit recently and Mr Ford Mallett had stated that he could bring in a secondary crusher and regular crusher and other necessary equipment to crush and stockpile the gravel on the northern porti nn of the pit. He had guaranteed that all rocks would go through the machine and that he could start about the middle of November or earlier His price for the gravel stockpiled was $1 25 per cu.yd That committee, together with Councillors Peters and Loosmore had been at the office the evenin of Wednesday, October 26th and had verbally decided th t the offer of Mallett Contractors should be accepte , but no final decision was made due to two main f ctors 1 There was not a meeting of Council and "4all Councillor were not present so no definite contract could be e tered into 2 T ere was the possibility of Linden Contractors being able to do the job and the Reeve was not present to give hi opinions Mr Ralph Loosmore advised that he had tests made for gravel on Nov lst at the Russell Andrews pit in SE-1-31-234 and had found enough gravel there for a good setti g for the crusher. He estimated 3000 to 4000 cu yds an4 stated that the depth varied on the main part from V to 9? Mr A H. Church reported that he had testing done for gravel on the same date on the land of Russell Snell in NE-9-30-22-4 but had not located any gravel Mr G. King, Sec - Treas. left the meeting at this time and M H.J.
