A regular meeting of the Council of the Municipal
District of Kneehill No 48 was held at the Municipal
Office, Three Hills, on Tuesday, October 11th, 1966,
commencing at 9 00 A M

recorded the minutes Mr. D.C. Dau, representative of
the Three H lls School Division, was present throughout
most of the meeting.

Mr Pet rs moved that the minutes of the meeting of
September 1 th and 26th, 1966, be adopted as per copy which ✓ MINUTES
had been mailed to each member Carried.
Mr Joe Dobler, gravel foreman, and Mr Doug Hazelton
of Linden C ntractors, met with Council. LINDEN CONT
Mr. Haz lton reported that they are now ready to start
crushing at the Elvin stockpile, and estimate between JOE DOBLER
3,000 and 4,000 cu yds in that pile. Mr. Loo.smore moved
that Mr. JOE Dobler have authority to hire extra trucks
and have gravel from Elvin's hauled direct to roads. Carried.

The monthly statement for the month ending September STATEMENT
30th, 1966 as then presented and discussed as per copy with
these minutes This showed a net balance at the end of the
month of $23,450 30, and with loans cwi ng of $208,000.

Mr. Daa Peters, District Agriculturist, Mr. Gordon
Park, Agric ltural Fi.eldman, and Mr. H J Hanson as-Secretary,
to the Agri ultural Service Board, then met with Council, A S BD.
Mr. Hanson reviewed the minutes of the meeting of the
Agricultural Service Board held on October 7th, 1966 and
items were iiscussed as he came to them

discussed a considerable length Mr Loosmore moved that
1080 bai s be placed in this Municipal District this
winter Ths motion was then discussed as to the merits
of the control and also the regulations pertai -ning to the
use of the 1080 baits. Council was advised that three
requests for the bait are now in and a minimum of 5 others
are expecte .. The motion was then voted on and declared
defeated
Mr Poole moved that 1080 bait be used for coyote
control in this Municipal District during this coming
winter under the same policy as applied last winter.

A further suggestion from the Agricultural Service Board LEVELLER
was that a land leveler might be purchased by the Municipal

Mr Gor on Park asked the opinions of the Council members

conference for Agricultural Fieldmen in Calgary on Nov 1st

with expenses to be paid by this District. Carried

A second letter from the Workmen's Compensation Board SAFETY
was read in regard to the Safety Co- Ordinator9s Training COURSE
Course to b held in Edmonton Nov.21st to 25th Mr. Brown
moved that the expenses be paid for one of the three sub -
foremen to be a delegate to the said safety course and
that the ch zce be made by draw. Carried

A preliminary report of the grading work and paving PAVING JOB
costs on the Torrington- Wimborne project was then given COSTS
to Council and this showed a total of $175,625 77, plus
miscellaneous costs which were not yet calculated Dis-

until next ear's program is being discussed. Carried
