This unit to be ordered specially, and could be delivered hree weeks See Page 2 IN C COUNCIL MEETING May 30/66 Page 2 Mr. Peters moved that the sheepsfoot packer be ordered PACKER from Pioneer Aachinery on the rental purchase deal unless PIONEER satisfactory one can be located in Edmonton soon MACHINERY amore (his is Item #1 referred to earlier) Motion carried The Rosco 9 wheel rubber tired, self propelled ROSCO PACKER acker which Costello Equipment now has for sale in COSTELLO P Calgary was then discussed in considerable detail The price of this unit with 12 ply tires and other spec- ifications aq listed by the Company in its letter, was $9,000.00 f.d b Three Hills Mr Chu ch moved that a committee of Mr Dunc Peters, COMM Cliff Poole, Stan Schmelke, Ted Paquette and G G. King EDMONTON go to Edmont n tomorrow to inspect packing equipment and that the committee have authority to order the Rosco packer which is now in Calgary or to buy one in Edmonton which may be preferred by the Committee on condition that there b guaranteed quick delivery Carried unan It was agreed that a committee of Mr. Ralph Brown, OPENING AT Cliff Poole, C.C. Campbell, G. G. King AND Mr. A.H TABER Church,if available, represent this District at the opening of the new Municipal Administration Building in Taber thi coming Wednesday. Mr. Mel Luepke of Industriml Road Equipment, met M LUEPKE with Council and discussed the Galion rubber tired packer GALION at a price o $10,459. with 10 ply tires Extra for 12 PACKER ply would be approximately $200 00 He stated he thought delivery cou d be made in approximately 3 weeks but would have t phone the factory and send word as to the exact delive y dates Mr. Luepke was thanked and then left the mee ing Mr Llo d Davies and Mr Rainer Keglowitsch gave the TIME following po sible time schedule in regard to the SCHEDULE Torrington n rth job PAVING 1 Sub- rade - do the southerly 2 miles between June lst and 15th the next two miles from June 15th - 30th and the northerly two miles by July 15th 2 699 layer of 194 crushed gravel - do the south two miles between July lst and 10.th, the next two miles by the 19th an completed by the 30th 3 111 thickness of 3/411 crush gravel - start Aug. lst from thE north and finish by Aug 9th. 4 Colc Mix surface treatment - start about Aug 3rd from thE north. See Page 3 4L COUNCIL MEETING May 30/66 Page 3 3 He and Alan Koch had inspected the place on the Orkney flat where Council had asked them to build a small bridge using salvage material It was agreed that the gra e be raised approximately 34 at that location. 4 Location west of 7- 31 -23 -4 will be inspected today 5. He had not ccome to a definite decision re- garding supp ying T, culvert for the Rowbottom coulee S/SW- 29 -29 -2 -4 he coulee is about $01 deep` and the culvert would have to be placed an a skew so would need to be q ite long and of heavy material. It was arranged tha Mr AlAn>. Church meet him there later today fora urther discussion of this location. Council was advised that the men repairing the stucco and doing the painting on the outside walls at the Three Hills Shop had reported that the eavestrough was in very poor condition Mr Church moved that Mr H J Hanson have authority to get new eavestroughing put on the Threo Hills Shop Carried Some members of Council had turned in a list of their main fravel work for 1966, but there was not time to review s me In detail at this meeting Mr Schmelke reported th t his main project would be in his division on the Troc u west road at a rate of 150 to 200 cu yds per mile all the way Mr. Peters moved that this meeting do now adjourn.
