Mr. Brown advised Council that a group from the WEATHER Weather Modification Association had asked him for a MODIFICATION 1 P M appointment today with Council, he believed that they wisli to request a plebiscite in 1966 for Divs 1, 2, 3, an 5. The Sec -Treas advised that, if this group meets with Council, an opposition Ratepayers Group also wish an nterview, the agenda for this meeting is very heavy, Touncillor Church is not present and it directly affects Iiis Division, and he therefore suggested that the appointor nts be arranged for a later meeting of Council Council then discussed this for a short time. Mr Loosmore moved that Council agree to meet each group re erred to above on Monday, Feb 21/66, with the Weather od Group at 10 A.M and the other group at 11 A M Carried Pho e calls were made to Mr Bud Boake and Mr Wm Kilgour o advise them of the above and to ask that they v notify o hers interested Mr. Arnold Boese and Doug Hazelton, of Linden Cont , LINDEN met with Council. They stated that they have had to meet increased wages anI operating costs so asked if Council would consider an increase in crushing rate - they did not name a definite figure Mr Peters moved that we get comparative prices with details from adjoining Municipalities and that any change ii rate made after the reports are considered be made retroactive to today Carried Mr Boese also advised that they are having difficulty getting a bull crusher for the work in the Megli pit They V then left the meeting Mr. Campbell moved approval of the minutes of the MINUTES combined meeting with Towns and Village representatives and T & V others on Jan 31/66 as per copy mailed toeach, with one correction as noted in this agenda Carried The monthly financial statementfor the month ending FINANCIAL Jan. 31/66 was presented and discussed as per copy with STATEMENT the agenda,this showed a net balance at the end of January f $131,135 98 The Sec -Treas advised that the Contingency Grant re paving is still to come for 1965 Mr Poole moved adoption of the statement. LABOR RELATIONS The Sec -Treas advised that the A A M D has sent one copy of each of the main speeches given to the Fall A.A.M.D. Cgnventi n, any Councillor may borrow same for reading V I TALKS if he so wishes. Mr Charlie Jopp, Edgar Riep, and Reg Campbell met TROCHU RURAL with - to discuss matters pertaining to the Trochu FIRE AREA Rural Fi e area. Mr Loosmore moved that Silver Line Fire Equip. be now paid $12,000 for the new fire truck, but that pay- ment of the interest charged of $105 be refused with the explanation about the long delay in getting delivery of the truck and further long delay in getting the Underwri ers' Plate. Carried Mr (Peters moved that the Trochu. Suggested was $25 for a ratepayer outside the area but within6 miles of nearest road leaving the area, $100 each for non - ratepayers outside the area No motior4 was made in this regard Boundary adjustments between the Three Hills and Trochu area were discussed briefly. The Sec -Treas agreed to bring in a recommendation to a later meeting The comm. of Trochu firemen thanked Council and then left the meeting ASSESSMENT A circular from the Assessment Branch re pasture BRIEF rates and other matters was referred to briefly A letter toy. the A A M Dfrom Dr Hu Harries & Assoc explained that the latter firm is drawing up a brief on behalf of the Asso iation. Mr. Loosmore moved that these be tabled until Fe 21st Carried. Mr Smith referred to the mosaic of the M D of MOSAIC Rocky View in its office and asked if our Council would like a timilar one for this District Reeve Brown and Councillor Poole are to look at the mosaic when at that office on Wed and then report back Mr. Smith was thanked for attending the meeting and briiiging information. He then left Correspondence with the C P R and Board of WIMBORNE Transport Comm was read regarding the crossing just C P R north of Wimborne The Sec -Treas reply had suggested that maintenance costs should be borne by the C P R Mr Couicil moved that Council support the stand taken by the 3ec -Treas in this regard Carried.
