King, Sec.- Treas., was present throughout the meet.in and recorded these minutes Mr. L osnore moved that notice of this meeting be waived and that Council proceed to discuss any matter which may oe brought before it Carried unan i -r. J hn Dickinson, of the Wimborne area, was present throughout the whole meeting. Other interested ratepayer members ofIlocal Ifiutual Telepnone Companies were present as noted 14ter. Ivir P Ole gave the Sec.- Treas. a copy of the minutes of a meeti g which had been held in Carbon on June 14th pertaining to underground cables for telephone service as proposed by Alta Government Telephones The minutes were read to th meeting and Mr. Poole elaborated on same. The minute4 were then returned to 14r. Poole and no copy was kept h4re Mr P ul Gelinas, from NJ of Trochu, then came into the meetin . f iir. P'Ole stated that, from the discussion at the Carbon mee ing, the farmers would co- operate in granting easements o the buried cable could be placed on their lands, but`no prices had been agreed upon for the ease- ments nor or crop or other damage He also said that the >iutual Telephone Companies of that area would assist in getting he easement papers signer. Mr Pole further stated that he had discussed this with A G T. in Calgary Easement 15 ft. to 1 rod wide suggested; all work, expense and responsibility for damages, et , etc , would be placed upon the Municipal District if the cable is to be buried on private lands Pedestals could be placed On property lines ( app every 6,000 ft', other warning ,signs could likely be in the fence lines. COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 21, 1965 Page 2 If ca le is put on private land it was suggested that A G.T. compensate n might have to be given for an average of one CABLES acre of cr p per mile, 250 -mi. would be 250 Acres; at $50 acre this vould total $12,500., costs of easements, etc., would be ir addition Costs of relocating the lines if in the ditches was given in c rculars from A G T as $250. mi. flat rate; considerab e notice would be required in advance Mr L osmore moved that this meeting confirm the motion of May 25/65 to allow the telephone cables in ditches as recommended and requested by A G T., but that this District request that the tables all be placed at a minimim depth of 30 inches Carried. Mr. Peters moved that A. G. Telephones be requested to give a Irritten guarantee that the cost of moving telephone dable when required for road improvement will be at a flat rate of $250. mile and that this rate will remain in effect Carried. The advisability of hiring Linden Contractors to strip LINDEN gravel at Tom Lowens was discussed They would use a HD21A CONT and dozer; rate for this is $14 00 per hr. according to LWIENS the last schedule on file here Mr 1. f 14eehan, Dave Silver, and Paul Gelinas thanked LEFT Council an left the meeting at this time. MEETING Mr. A nold Boese, of Linden Contractors, then met with Counc 1 and discussed details pertaining to gravel stripping #t Tom Lowens; they are ready to start as soon as it is d y and they estimate not over 1 weeks work. iir. Church1moved that this be approved and authorized by Council* $14. per hr Carried Far Ainold Boese stated they would soon test for gravel at II'Iorans, would have a report for Council on June 28th, agreed that the gravel be hauled direct to roads 14r Boese then left the meeting. Lette s, etc , pertaining to proposed water infection of oil wells in the Three Hills .Meld were read and discussed Special attention was given to notice that the Oil & Gas Conservation will hold a Hearing re this on July 6th; briefs must be su mitted by June 29th. A comm had been set up locally tooconsider the water injection Pair L osmore moved that, if the water injection comm. wishes to ubmit a brief, this District co- operate with it on a co t sharing basis with the Town of Three Hills; and that t is Council recommend that no water injection be permitt d unless safeguards for domestic water are fully guar nteed, and that the Municipal District set $300 as a limit for costs regarding a brief Carried.
