Letter of June 18th., 1964 from the Board of Industrial

Mr Bro -n reported briefly on discussions with the Engineers
regarding the paring from Acme toward Linden and told Council
;t he is now recomnendinC that --,he project be prepared in two parts,
one to be fro: Acme north to the top of the hill south of the
lbridge and the other to be from the machine works south to the
tridCre By so doing separate bids can be taken and contracts
given only to our maximum alotment
Council was advised that Mr C H Penner had been to the
's office and had complained regarding the compensation allowed him
T in re pect to the CradinC program west of Sunnyslope, complaining
that the fence payment was not high enough and that he had allowed
them to take dirt from his land A similar situation existed in

respect to his brother John I -I Penner Fair Peters r.�oved that
JC H lenner and John Penner be each paid $20 00 for borrow pits

Mr Paul Joigm met with Council briefly re Carding the
possible purchase of certAh areas in Sunnyslope He was advised
that the areas concerned are parr and public works areas and thus
� are not for sale at present He thanked Council and then left the
meetingj
Correspondence from the Board of Transport Commissioners
was read in respect to the proposed change in the C P R crossing;
at Sun ysloce This advised that plans would have to be submitted
as per general order No 577, if the change is demanded Nr
Peters moved that Nr R 0 Keglowitsch be instructed to draw the
�re�uir d plans and to submit the information to the Board and the
C P T 'out that he first contact the local Councillor for details.

C uncil was advised that Mr Elgar Tetz had requested
Councilts permission to have his son Allan admitted to the
Provinc al Training School or other suitable institution He had
signed a letter agreeing to pay the account on condition that
it is not more than $20 00 per month 144 Loosmore moved that
,Council approve of the admission of Allan Tetz to the Provincial
Training School or other suitable institution Carried

Ir Black of Central Mortgage & Housing Corporation met
with Council and briefly discussed items connected with the
Municipal Development & Loan Act and National Housing Act
e Subject to the passing of the necessary By_Laws and Provincial
approvals that are required, Mr Black advised that money for
the pr posed water and sewerage to Grantvi.11e would likely be
availa le and suggested the following be considered.
Municipal Development and Loan Act for the water. Money
is available up to $20 00 per person for the Municipality and for
projec s completed by next Spring, there is a forgiveness of 25 %.
Money is available under the National Housing Act for
