Mr Marc Reed on behalf of residents of Grantville met with
Council nd inquired regarding their proposed water and sewer
system. ,A letter from the Local Authorities Board under date of
July 26 as read in which it stated that no water or sower system
could be provided unless a vote was held of the proprietary electors
to approve the project and the proposed borrowing It further stated
that if the Municip 1 District did not favor such a votes then of
course t e Town of Three Hills could apply to annex the hamlet or
the resi'ents themselves by petition could apply for annexation to
the Tow

of Public Health, under date of July 26, advised that they were
unable to assist us dxxxxg directly in the proposed system for the
hamlet s the Public Health Act pertains only to cities, towns and
villages.
A letter from the Prairie Bible Institute date August 9th/63
advised that clearance must be received to begin the project by
August 19 or it could not entirely guarantee to assist in the project
as prev ously outlined to council It was however, willing to
conside it next Spring Other details were referred to in this
letter
Co respondence was discussed at considerable length and Y r Reed
then asked council to provide the required money out of general
revenue this year This was discussed briefly and the council then
adjourned for dinner from 12.00 noon to 14000 P M
Mr Loosmore moved that the money for the Grantville water and
sewerag scheme be provided out of 1963 current revenue of the

Huxley and then go to Div. 5. Carried
Mr Paters asked if council was willing to provide new mattresses

matters pertaining to union organization of our employees and its

5 We have requested inspection and necessary repairs at the

TAe meeting was advised that no definite reply had been re-
ceivea from the Department of Highways reg -rding our request to the
Hon ardon Taylor for additional Contingency Road Grant for the
Taylor Siding fob Mr Church moved that Mr. Taylor be contacted
again 1,egarding the additional Grant to this project and that a

Mr. Campbell reported that Hoppins Bros. have requested
improvements this year to the road east of 13- 34 -25 -4 from the
buildin s south. He then moved that tb.is request be granted if

operatink hours in connection with the Weather Modification for

under date of August 12th giving the following decisions regarding
assessment appeals heard by it on July 26th

approximatdly one -half acre of land along the SW 30- 32 -26 -4 Mr.

set of wir4 pinchers, but that no land payment be made to him as
he had agr ed to have the fence set back without charge Carried..
7 Te Paquette reported that he had some machine troubles
including Ireakdown with the D -7, torque trouble with the Euclid
and transmission and othc,r trouble with the ll -8; all of the
machines eicept the D -8 are now in operation and the D -8 will be
repaired soon
8. Co�ncil agreed that the Resource Road Grant be earned on
the Sunnyslope project and that the north crew then move to install
the Henry �aerg culvert in Div. 3.

Mr F�oyd Clark then met with Council and reported that he and
some other had travelled through a portion of the SW 35- and the
SW 36- 27 -2� -4 for many years He stated that Richard Skytt, renter
of some of the Schaff Bros4 lands, has now barricaded off this trail
and stated'that he could not use it They also farm certain road
allowances!in the area and have then seeded to crop Mr Clark
sked Counpil's condideration of this matter and he was advised
hat thoy would investigate it He thanked council for the opp-
ortunity c,f meeting with therm

Mr. J. A. McArthur met with Council and asked if he could now
return to (work as gravel checker. He was advised that there is no
work available for him pow as this District has sold one truck which
will be uled for Rural ,ire Protection purposes. This leaves one
of the reoular crew free to do the gravel checking or substitute
as a true driver if required

Mr Campbell moved that Council approve of the proposed
annexati ns by Trochu as outlined in the letter from Ferguson and
Ferguson on condition that the proposal be made subject to the
following conditions
1 that it include all of the roadway lying east Oreferred t o
highway Snd south of that portion of the SW 17-33-23-4
in the - plication.
2. that there be limited access to the road on the north side,
that is, the road from the cemetery easterly

ce Bridge The Secretary- Treasurer reported that he had discussed
this with Philip Rock, that Mr. Rock had advised that this was a
matter between him and the Department of 1-iighways by agreement Mr

A letter from Plains Western Gas asked Council to consider its
franchi e for the Drumheller area at such time as may be considered
reasonable.
Mr Campbell' Mr. Schmelke and G G. King reported that they
had met with the Bridge Inspectors G McDonogh and Ralph Walters
and witi Highways Engineer G iicLean at the river road east of
Trochu this past Friday The contract for the road has been let
to Ludw g Construction and it is understood that they will be
assistei by F W Lar__'� and Son. The contract calls for completion
of the road by October 31St The location of cattle passes have
been di cussed with Tore Lynch and agreed upon and a site has also
been tentatively chosen for the cattle pass in Mrs Milz' land.
The engineer had been asked to arrange the work so that no crop need
be destroyed, but the committee had agreed to arrange for crop
if necessary

ThefSecreta.ry- Treasurer advised that he would find out if
the CounIty of Wheatland got any special grant for wont at the
Taylor Siding road, and if so, under what conditions.
Co ncll discussed the progress on our work at the Taylor
Siding ioad and the opinion was expressed that the northerly
four ni es of the road should be done for sure this year under
the Contingency Grant, even though this meant that some of the
hill wok would have to be left unfinished
Considerable discussion took place regarding the trucking
crew, t e rate of travel and other matters Mr. Church moved that
the tru leers bc, notified to travel at 45 miles per hour and to
naintailL uniform spacing between trucks, and that Lloyd Will be
directe to load the trucks as they arrive at the stockpile and
that he be given a warning that sane must be done, and that copies
of this information be sent to Joe Dobler, foreman. Carried
Mr Loosmore moved that a letter be written to the Hon. Gordon
Taylor garding the Sarcee east -wost road from No. 21 to the
Morrin ridge to find if the government is going to take this over
f as a Pr vincial Highway, and that reference be made to the extra
traffic and the difficulty which the Municipal District has in
