The monthly Financial statement for the month ending; June 29/63
Morthly was presented and discussed. This showed a net balance at the end
of the month of X60,560 97 as per copy with these minutes Total

Council was advised that Firs Ruth Ross of Trochu had requested
Ross gravel n certain approaches adjacent to newly graded roads. Mr

Council discussed the need for an access road through a portion_

Mr Hero Ziegler had called in at the office and stated that he

Mr L G. Howe and M.S Kalbfleisch, Councillors of the Town of
3 Hills Three Hills, met with Council in respect to the request of that
land Town for Council's approval for the purchase of approxinnately
co pchs . 20 acres in the SE 36- 31 -24 -4 They advised that the purchase of
other properties privately owned in that same quarter section is
optional and that subdivision plans as drafted now are not
necessarily final
Mr. B ese moved that Council approve of the proposed purchase
by the T wn of Three =Hills of approximately 20 acres in 5E- 36- 31 -24 -4
as per plan submitted. Carried.
Mr. Howe advised that the Town representatives for the Rural
Rural Fire Protection comrlittee are Councillors Robert Dau and M.S.
Fire Kalbflei ch and Fire Chief, Larry Davis.
They ffurther stated that the Town of Three Hills is willing to
annex on an agricultural basis of assessment until such tine as
Annex -1 subdivision is actually made and stated t'aat they would consider

Mr. E rl Danchuck<, District Engineer, met with Council and
discusses the proposed Taylor Siding road He stated that the

Governme t has now approved of a new bridge across the creek on
the south side of the railway and that construction of an overpass
Sidinr is recomrended and will likely be proceeded with He has mailed
road a copy Of the plan as to location., areas, etc. to Mr Ron Bell,
Solicito fol the Taylor lands The construction of the overpass
Danchuc will require a 25' fill and about 100,000 cu yds of earth on the
south 1200' of our road. It will take over 200,00 cu yds for a
new read from the overpass to the top of the hill. He suggested
that no Atart be rude sooner than August lst so that full details
could be provided. The possibility of a further Grant for this
project was discussed with him but he had no information regarding
it. Mr. Danchuck was thanked for attending the meeting and bTing-
ing us this information.
Mr B ese advised Council that lir Buck Massey of Fort 11acLeod
Fyten phone No 741, had contacted him to ask if he could rent one of our
dam cat tractors for use as a pusher when he is doing worrk at the
Fyten Dam This was discussed briefly and Councillors felt that
if would be better if he could rent a private machine for this
project and he was phoned and advised of the local contractors that
might be available. He expects to be working on this project with
two DW 21 Motor scrapers and estimates that the project will take
one week
Council adjourned for dinner from 12 °00 noon to 1.00 P M
Roy Mr Joe Dobler, gravel foreman, met with Council and advised
Uhrich that Mere Kober had left our employment at the end of June to take
other wok at Trochu. Mr. Dobler had hired Mr Roy Uhrich of Drum -
heller ais a replacement to work as a truck driver. %Ir. Peters
moved that this be a -Qoroved Carried
Mr. Dobbler advised that the old International needs a new
truck radiator or the present one repaired, requires three wheel rips
repair and new ransmission seals Mr Campbell moved that Mr. Dobler
arrange 7o get the repairs as noted Carried

and discussed road work of the grading crews The north crew
are almost finished the Acadia job and next plan to move north -
eazt of Huxley to do three miles of other grading work in Div
7 They then will move to the Sunnyslope job The south crew
are now at the Ralston fob and it will take about ten days more.
They have some work to do at the Bates bridges and will then move
to the Haining road Ted Paquette advised that Alvin Koch is
leaving our employ to work for the Town of Three Hills. Council
directed Mr. Paquette to hire casual help only if same is

Dick Gimbel advised that Norman Poole has been off work for
about three days, evidently with the flu'
Coun it agreed that Linden Contractors be hired to do some
brushin work on the Taylor Siding road if it is necessary that
this be done soon to permit the phone line move.
Mr. ampbell gloved that any business not completed at this

with at that tide. Carried.

Council was advised that Mr. Ivan Schrlidt or his employee had

Ziegler for this entry to the 5E- 23- 32 -27 -4 for a 50' roadway
at a co t of $10.00 per year for a 20 year period or such lesser

The Secretary- Treasurer reported that about 3130,803 00 had
been paLd out by cheques since July lst, but that sufficient none y

down soaewhat as compared with last year but the District is still

stated that they hoped to complete the work presently required ir)-

per rail- Mr Campbell asked that that they �.lso regravel one
mile to the west of it and do some patchwork at Colley's if time
permitt d. They would then move to Div. 2 and start there Monday

his hol days in late August or early September and Council suggested
that he later advise who he would suggest as acting foreman. It
was further requested that a record of the gravel work todate be
given t Council at the next meeting

mile in all. Mr. Peters moved that this report be accepted and
that the Council approve obtaining an easement from Mr. Herb
Ziegler for this entry to the 5E- 23- 32 -27 -4 for a 50' roadway
at a co t of $10.00 per year for a 20 year period or such lesser
time as might be mutually agreed upon Carried
The Secretary- Treasurer reported that about 3130,803 00 had
been paLd out by cheques since July lst, but that sufficient none y
had been received to make deroosits of X3489536. All loans to the

approxilate balance in the banks of ^ ?469000 Tax collections are
down soaewhat as compared with last year but the District is still
in souni financial state The Municipal Assistance Grant had not

estimate and proposal for the system and the types of �atcrial being
used. They stated that the rlaterials recoruionded by them were all
proved but in many cases, cheaper than those commonly used. The
10 Torrington estimate, after Winter Works and Central Mortgage & Housing
water Corporation credit, was given as $6391700 If hydrants were added
this would mean an additional cost of about $1000 Revised plans
