about using his car to transport the men to and from work. Iir. 'jill
was agreeable to this arrangement and Mr. Brown asked that 11r dill
have passenger hazard insurance placed on h.Ls vehicle and that any
extra premi .is would be )aid by -the iTunicipal Dis crict.
i•Ir. Drown also made some inquiries as to the ati. ailabllzty
of a. suitabl vehicle that could be 1�urchasec? by the lunicipal District
to take she dace of the bus. A 1961 IIIC Travelall was available from
Enerson Bus ao Ltd. of Lethbridge, this being a. used vehicle with
117000 miles I'r. nrown inquired into costs, etc of a new 4 ton panel
with seats aid extra windows. The price WOUld be approximately ?3300
J Mr Carl i'aylor, of Enerson Bus Co. Ltd. was present at
the meeting and had the 1961 IHC 'iravelall on hand to be seen by the
Council.
:1r Ralph Loos-nore Moved that the Council offer to
puzchase the said vehicle at a price of "2200. Carried
Mr. Carl Taylor was then interviewed by Council and
offered the vehicle at a price of X2300.
After considerable discussion, 1,,1r. Loosmore moved that
his motion t offer a orice of :2200 be rescinded. Carried

this being a By -Law to ?ourchase one used !HC Travelall, Serial -.,,To
10322.3 at a price of )2300. Carried unan.

Considerable discussion regarding rates for gravel
hauling followed

Mr. Doug Tazelton of Linden Contractors Ltd. met Council
and discuss d the gravel crusning program and also asked what
arrangement had been made regardinU the , inter �lorks program
Mr. f1azelton stated that they had approximately two days
outside wort to) do after finishing the Elvin stockpile and then would
move to K-irI natricks
y P,Ir Boese moved that application be made to have gravel
✓ crushing done under the ; vinter. 'dorks program with a total of about
60,000 c.yd . to be crushed and stockpiled. Carried.
i1r. Peters moved that the insurance on the 1950 G_C
one ton school bus be cancelled and that the 1961 IIzC 2ravelall be
,/ added to oui, Fleet Policy to include ;2'100 deductable and passenger
hazard Ca Tied.
iI'r Brown moved that Linden Contractors be engaged to
cr-_,sh 2,000 c Yds. of gravel at the I,iegl.i pit and that this gravel
'be hauled d- rect to roads in Divisions 2 and 3. Carried.
i1r Campoel'l roved that the Council as' for tenders for
the 1950 GI,,' one ton school bus, the bus to be sold as is,terms cash,
and that to tiers close noon October 22nd. Carried
Mr. a. J. Gimbel and N'r Teel. Paquette, road foremen,
then met with Council and discussed work to be done by each crew 1.1r.
Gimbel stated he had some ten odd jobs to complete which would keep
him busy fo_ quite some time The north crew is now working in Div
IF which would Loop them going for some time.
Jobs to be completed were the job west of `Three 71i11_s
on old =21 T y , Smouse Creek road and Erickson road and other odd
jobs
I,Ir Boese moved that the north south road by Reddekopp
and Pages be backsloped with one of the i,Tunicipal cats when time
permits C cried.
Mr Hanson reported that Border Paving were Moving their
equipment from the job at the Equity Overpass and that he had driven
over the detour road with their foreman and inspected same '_''he road
✓was in fair condition Yr. Peters and lir Campbell were to inspect
this detour road also and report back on October 10th.

The new plan regarding the Linden Subdivision was dis-
cil and Mr. Brown moved that this new plan be approved
following conditions-
1 that a 20' lane be allowed on the west or no lane
2 that the lots on the east side be changed from 6

A letter from tb.e office of the Premier was read to the
Council. -his Letter requests that the Council send a representative
to a Seminar to be held in Edmonton on October 16th and 17t'-i The
