A regular meeting of the Council of the Municipal
Kneehill #48 was held at the Municipal office at Three
Dncing at 9:00 A.M. on February 9, 1962.

Immediately after dinner, Mr. Phillip Rock and Mr
ratepayer members of the Agricultural Service Board,

Farm Purchase Board
I Mr. Jackson and Mr. McComb of Farm Credit Corporation
of Drumhell r and Didsbury respectively met with Council as re-
quested to �utline the Federal Farm Credit Loans.
A "Standard" loan may be obtained on the security of
farm lands n an amount not exceeding 75% of their appraised value
or �'201 000 whichever is the lesser, for a single farming enterprise.

A "Package-deallfloan (designed to cover all the long
and intermeiiate term credit needs of capable young farmers starting
with limitei capital) - may be obtained in an amount not to exceed
V the lesser 3f $27,500 or 75% of the value of the real estate, basic
herd liveStDck and necessary farm equipment.
Both types of loan bear interest at 5% and repayment
may be armor ized over a period of UP to 30 years
Other details of their loan set-up were outlined and
a number of questions were asked and answered They were then
thanked for attending the meeting, and pamphlets giving further

Mr. K. G. Taylor, Farm Credit Administrator, met with
Council and out lined the Farm Purchase Credit Board set-up and details
regarding FIrm Loans available through it.
