A special meeting of the Council of the M D of
Kneehi l it �8 was held at Linden the afternoon of Monday,
Sept. 91 1958.
Councillors present were:

Mr. Brown moved that notice of meeting be waived
and that this meeting deal with any business which may be

brought before it. Carried unan.
The Council saw a demonstration of a 114assey- Harris-
Fergus n Work Bull # 303 with backahoe and front end loader
as arranged for by Linden Machine Works.
A letter from Canadian Western Natural Gas Co to
the Vi lage of Carbon under date of Sept. 2.4/58 was read to
the Council -- this dealt with the proposed subdivision
west oC Carbon and partly within the Village 11-7r Boese
and Mr. Church reported on their dieussion of this matter
with M . Joe Wise, of the said Company. Mr. H. J. Gimbel,
Q as cou cillor of the Village of Carbon, stated that the
Villago was anxious to have the Company locate there and
had a# eed to the proposals as per the said letter. This
whole tatter was then discussed in detail, together with
refere�ce to general Rural Planning

I Mr. Brown then moved that provision be made for a
66 ft. street west of Block 9 Carbon, this being 46 ft
additional to the 20 ft lane now there, and that an area
be kep clear to provide for the extension westerly of
J Essex 13treet. Carried unan.
A letter from the SArle Grain Co. was read, advising
Counci that residents of Jimborne may continue to use water
from t te well located on Lot 3 Blk 3 Wimborne, under the
presen arrangements

Mr. Brown and King reported on the proposed plans
for tho extension northward of the Hamlet of Linden and
submitted a diagram for consideration. Plans for providing
drainae and for grading the streets lying east of Blocks 1
and 2 lan 3014 F 0 were also outlined and discussed.
Agreements as completed with Aaron Megli for right of entry,
etc , n certain parts of NE -20 and 5E- 29- 30 -25 -4 were
presented. Ts. Church then moved that the reports and the
Aaron Negli Agreements be accented and that the earth work
and drcLinage work be proceeded with Carried.
Mr Church and Boese reported that Jack Barber
would allow the public to use his farm crossing in 51 -17-
29-22- and to cross the land as required for this in return
for a t ental of $100 for one year from the date of approval
f of thi as a temporary public crossing by the Board of
Transport Commissioners; no fencing will be required of
this District 1,1r. 'eter s moved that this report be

I•ir Peters reported that the TD -18 had broken down,

1 Grade should be widened at Whatleys -- vision is
not very good for this curve.
2. A culvert is needed north of the Ernst garage.
3 Some black dirt should be placed along the
west Shoulder of the ditch at Wimborne.
4. The grading at SIV1 corner 2- 33 -26 -4 did not
appear to be well completed, still too low for drainage.

'Mr. Boese and Gimbel reported that certain Municipal
proaches to the new Highway ` 21 were being left
row, and that the contractors were placing the
s too close to the main Highway grade and too short

her Government officials if necessary. Carried
INIr Peters reported that Mrs. C. 1,4artens and H. W.
n had agreed to donate sufficient land from N-�-5 and
2 -24 -4 to provide for a 33 ft width roadway, that
g has been done with the motor patrol and that some
culverts have been installed. Mr. Peters agreed to
