Mr brown moved that the minutes of the meeting of
_3th and 27th, 19567 be ry.dopted. Carried
The monthly statement for August, 1956, as included
with these minutes was presented and discussed; this showed
a net balance of w114,428 07 Its adoption was moved by
Mr Peters Carried.
Correspondence was read as per the agenda included
with Jese minutes.
Mr. Peters inhved that the Council approve of the
extensions of line in the Torrington R E A L as requested
by Canadian Utilities Carried.
1vir Boese moved that the petition of 12 ratepayers
of the Hamlet of Swalwell requesting inclusion of the said
Hamlet in the Three Hills :Municipal Hospital District be
referred to the Provincial Dept. of Health, with a favorable
recomm endation from this Council, and that a copy of the
letter be sent to the Three Hills (Municipal Hospital Board.

The Road Comm also reported that they had inspected
the road W 30 -33 -26 (Vaughn's), beavers were causing a lot
of trouble
Mr. Schmelke moved that Victor Smith be paid $5 00
for each beaver he kills along the road at the above location

The road comm. reported on the dangerous road condition

Robert Hogg reported that he would be moving within a
few day with the north crew to the road grant job West
of 3 8: 0- 33 -22 -4 (Frank's)
The Council discussed the matter of cutting grass
and wee s along roadsides, but this was tabled without any
decis io .
Mr Ed. Sigmund, of Wimborne area, :net the Council.
He stat d that cattle had been able to cross the road between
Section 31 & 32- 33 -26 -4 for perhaps 40 yrs. by going under
a small bridge or cattle pass This was now collapsing and
he wish Ed Council. to maintain it After discussion, Mr Brown

at this location, on condition that Mr Sigmund pay the
difference in price between arA 4811 culvert and the 60t1 culvert,

C. N. R. regarding the condition of their crossings on our
roads s' ce they had raised their tracks. Carried

The south crew is now working on the Munson hill and vicinity
and wilL next be grading N- 8- 30 -21 -4 (Cole's) -- both these
being der Road Grant
Mr Schmelke moved that the balance of the payments
be made for land and fences on the Contingency Grant road
from SW-14-35-25-4 north 4 miles. Carried
Mr. TIeston moved that the Council approve of a
further 250 cu yds of gravel on the Sharples South Hill,
to give la total of 759 cu yds for app 1-�*3 miles Carried
Mr Brown moved that Mr S. F. Torrance be paid
$11 67 or 3 -yr insur4nce premium on the metal clad building
at the arbon yard. Carried.
Mr Brown reported that Bob Hope had moved 1 mile
of fence for the Lvans Estatc, being W /NW -4 and W/SW- 9- 30 -26 -4,
and he noved that Bob Hope be paid 6100 00 for this work as
it was required for the Contingency Grant work. Carried
Mr Brown moved that the Sec -Treas draft two
resolut'ons for presentation to the fa-11 Convention:
1. $5.00 deposit on assessment appeals -- same as
last year's resolution
2 Requesting age limit of 16 yrs. for children
driving tractors on Municipal roads

Carbon area, is now in the Argyle Home in Calgary and that the
rate for her maintenance there is $80.00 per mo. Mr. Boese
