OCTOBER 11, 1955 A regular meeting of the Council was held in the >al Office at 'Three Hills on Tues., Oct 11155, :ing at 9 15 A M. The following councillors were throughout the whole meeting- Mr. A. Campbell 7 Mr. Church moved that the minutes of the meeting . 12155 be adopted Carried statement The monthly for the month ending Sept. 30155 was zsidered. Carried Mr Fred Tetz met the Council and requested the gradin of the two miles of road East 13 & 24- 28 -24 -4 Mr. Peters moved that the Council review this in the spring of 1956 and decide on the need for this road at that time. Correspondence was then read as per the Agenda of eting Mr. Church moved that the Bridge Branch be written why Bridge file 2236 (W 20- 30 -25 -4) should not be upstream for the new location. Carried. Mr. Peters moved that the Council approve of the subdivision of part NE- 34- 32 -26 -4 to be added to et of Torrington Carried. Mr. C. J. Christie presented the general accounts to the Council. Mr. Peters moved that these be paid Carried Mr. H. J. Hanson presented tha paysheets for consideration Mr Boese moved that all paysheets signed by the Councillors be passed for payment Carried Mr. Peters moved that the $2.50 balance owing on dues to the Central Alta. Association of Municipal Districts be pai ; and. that the whole Council attend the meeting at Re 'deer on Nov. 5155• Carried. Mr Schmelke moved that the Sec -Treas investigate regarding the requisition of the Drumheller School District for $2D4.95, and find why the lands concerned were not made a part of the Three bills School Division. Carried. Mr Meston moved that all correspondence not other- wise lalt with be filed for future reference. Carried Mr. Brown reported regarding a nuisance ground for Linden area. He stated that Aaron t'legli offered a 10 year lease for 3 acres near SW corner of NE- 20- 30 -25 -4, plus right of entry, in return for X25. per yr and access to water at SW corner of HW- 20- 30 -25 -4 `Phis was not accept- able t3 the Council Mr Peters moved that the Road Comm. and "Ir Brown offer Mr. Aaron I'legli $200. in full settle- ment f r app. 3 acres of land near SW corner of NE- 20- 30 -25 -4 plus a 40 ft. strip for road entry from the Hamlet of Linden, that t is District pay for the required survey, and that, if thik offer be not accepted, t the Council refer to arbitriation Carried. Mr. Boese and Mr. Church reported regarding the Graff-39ibson complaint and stated that a 24" culvert 321 long a ross the road, together with some ditching, might solve the problem Mr Boese moved that a letter be written to the Dept of water Resources with the request that they supply the culvert. Carried. The Council adjourned for dinner from 12 noon to 1 P.M. Mr. Scbmelke moved that arrangements be made to have C ristof Bruneski, of Wimborne area, admitted to the Salvat on Army Home at Gleichen Carried. Mr Ed Belsheim, Asst. Dist. Engineer, met with the Coancil He was re uested to halt the use of tandem trucks on gra el haul in this istrict; also to meet Kirby Cartage at the Acme Channel Diversion job. He agreed to both Mg. G. King, 6ec.- '2reas., reported that Orville hart is wil ing to have 20% of his earnings deducted to apply agains his relief account up to the amounts charged to him to Jan 3, 1953• Mr. Meston moved that this offer be accepted. Carried. Mr. Sam Eslinger met with the Council and stated that h would move$ to the Russell Snell pit in the mornin of Oct 12th and commence screened gravel work then. Councillors Meston, Church, Boese, Campbell, melke, Assessor C. J. Christie, Sec -Treas G. Carried Mr. Campbell moved that the following additional surveys be made- Land for rounded corner at NE corner of NE- 9- 33 -22 -4. 4 miles north from Berkeley School site: -one rod on each side of existing road Carried. Mr. Ray Empey met with the Council and requested permission to haul gravel over Municipal roads and bridges with a tandem truck. He was hauling 10 c.y. per load but was willing to reduce his load to 8 c y This was tabled until later in themeeting A committee from the Council of the Town of 'Three Hills net our Council. They requested the Municipal District to guarantee that the Town would be paid for any trips made by the Town fire truck in respect to fires within the Municipal District xaLxA xKzx No decision was reached Robert Hogg, road foreman, met the Council and reported that work was progressing favorably. He was installing 2 - -42" and 1 - -36" culvert near "Evans Bros and required the use of the Payloader and truck to get gravel It was arranged that this be done the next day. Mr. Arnold Boese, of B & T, met the Council. He was in tructed to complete the work from the stockpile near the Mo rin Ferry, and then to moved to the pit at Raymond Megli' in NE- 10- 30 -25 -4 Mr Clayton Smith, of Costello Equipment, met the Counci Mr. G. Bell, of Industrial and Road Equipment, met the Co ncil Mr Ruby, illeld Supervisor, met the Council and reported that Dr. J. Greenway had signed the agreement for Bang's vaccinations. Mr. Church moved that the Reeve and Sec.-Treas. be authorized to sign same on behalf of this Distri t. Carried. A letter from Stanley Rock requesting the use of 10-30 for Coyote Control was read. Mr. reters moved that tae Council authorize the use of 10 -80 under Govt. supery lion and regulation in Secs. 3 & 10- 31 -21 -4 Carried Mr. Meston moved that the Council stay with its origin 1 decision that no truck be permitted to haul a load in exc ss of 6 cu. yds. over Municipal bridges Carried. Carried " Mr. Schmelke reported that he had arranged for Mrs Daubert to stay in the Innisf ail Home for one month Mr Peters moved that Mr. C. Christie investigate as to the need for further assistance for Mrs. Daubert. (She is the mother of Mrs. Felker, of Wimborne area).
