Mr. Peters moved that the monthly statement as above
be adop, ed Carried.
Correspondence as listed in the Agenda was then read.
Mr. Schmelke moved that Mr. Church, Boese, and
Gimbel Lnvestigate the Graff -- Gibson complaint referred to
this District by the Dept. of Water Resources Carried.
Mr. Brown moved that the .rioy al Alexandra Hospital
at Edmonton be notified that Mr Edgar Burnett is not the
responsibility of this District as he left here about March
of 1954 Carried
Mr. Campbell moved that the Council oppose the proposed
transfer of E2- 1- 35 -24 -4 from this District to M D. of Red
Deer # 55 as it would appear that no practical advantages
would accrue, and that the owner of the said land prefers the
present Municipal and School set -up. Carried.

Mr. Peters moved that Mr. Meston contact Nottal Bros
offer of 635. for the old bridge W. 29-31-22-4 (Aumells)

Mr. Campbell moved that the old bridge in V2114-34-22-4
to Carl Knudsen for 625.00. Carried

elsheim, Asst. District Engineer from Red
Deer, met with the Council in respect to the following
1. Contingency Grant work East 2 & 11- 34 -25 -4.
Mr. Scl*elke moved that the Dist. Engineer be asked to have
this wotk done by contract, so as to leave Municipal equipment
free to do other work. Carried
2. Grading work S. 1- 29 -21 -4 (Jutras). Mr. Church
moved that the Municipal District do this job, with one or
two outside tractors with dozers and /or scrapers to be hired
if possible by this District to assist at a rate not to exceed
the Govt. rate Carried.
Mr. Boese moved that Mr. Church be in charge of the
arrangements required for # 2 above.
3. Terms of contract for channel diversion in
34 & 354-29 -26 -4 (Goerlitz) Mr. Belsheim agreed to assist in
V, drawi.ng� these up and to contact our office Aug. 9th re this.
Mr C. J. Christie presented the general accounts
for consideration Mr Boese moved that the accounts as
presented be passed for payment. Carried.

MUNICIPAL SUPPLIES LTD.
Mr. H. Benedict, Trustee of Three Hills School
Division, me t the Council regarding road improvement South
of Pt. SW- 35-33 -26-4, to lead to,the new site for the school
to be built near Wimborne. Mr. Peters moved that both earth
work and gravel work be done for this by private contract,
with the Municipal District and the School Division sharing
the cost on a 50 -50 basis Carried
Mr. Brown moved that the Canadian Natioi 1Railway Co.
be refunded $347.28, this being the net amount charged them
in error for 1955._taxes on 7.23 miles of line which was trans-
ferred from this District Carried.
Mr. Boese moved that X14 00 be deducted from Gordon
Hunt's July wages and that this be sent to the Director of
Income ax in accordance with its demand Carried
Mr. Brown moved that the resignation of 1"Ir J A
Findlaysas Child Welfare Inspector be accepted, and that he
be paid $25.00 as full settlement for his work to date.
Carried.
Mr. Church moved that the Council approve of the
application of Plains- Western Gas & Electric Co Ltd for
right to extend the gas line near Highway # 9 in Secs. 22 and
27- 28 -2y -4. Carried
Mr. Meston moved that the Council approve of the
propose transfer to Rudolph Doering of app 2 A in NW corner
of SW -2133-26-4, 33 -26 -4, EXCEPTING THEREOUT the westerly one rod, and
that the Municipal District endeavor to buy the said westerly
one rodito be reserved for road widening Carried

The meeting resumAed following dinner at 1 P.M ,
Councillors present.
° Mr. G. King, Sec. -Treas , drew the Council's attention
to the following in respect to Sam Eslinger, of Wimborne, and
his gravel work -
1 Complaints about mileage allowed after the work
was completed and tickets accepted from the checker.
2. Failure to purchase required licence in 1954.
3. Failure to place signs warning public of loose
gravel, etc.
4. Irregular hours of work.
Mr. Boese moved that mileage stakes must be put up
before y gravel hauling is undertaken, and that the mileage
must be,agreed upon with the checker and /or councillor. Carried.
Mr. McKay, of Armco Drainage & Metal Products, met
with the Council. Mr. Peters moved that the following order
for culverts be given.
600 ft. of 12" 16 ga. lengths 12' & l4 t
600 ft. of 15" 16 ga. 14' & 16'
400 ft. of 18" 16 ga. it 14' & 16,
300 ft of 2411 14 ga. it 14' & 161 (bevelled 2:1)
Above order to be shipped to Three dills, with a
duplicate of it to be shipped to Carbon, shipment 19 to be
after April 1, 1956, and to check with G King, Sec. -Treas ,
regarding dimensions before shipment. Motion Carried.`
Mr. McKay quoted the following for Steelox Bldgs.:
In lots of 3 to make a carload; size 201 x 441 x 111;
include 6 windows and 4 louvres; one 3t4" door 61811 high;

the Court of Revision might meet.
COURT OF REVISION
The Court of 1�evision met at 2 PM on Aug 8, 1955, to
the appeal of Ed. Goerlitz in respect to S.W. 14 -12-30-
he following members of the Court of hevision were
Councillors Meston, Church, Boese, Campbell, and
Mr. C. J. Christie, assessor, was present and
ing, Sec.- Treas., acted as Secretary. Mr. Ed. Goerlitz
present Mr Goerlitz complained that his land was
higher than any adjoining lands, that there were
gullies, and that the soil was not the best
ch moved that the assessment be reduced to $3,430.

met the council and quoted the following.

Mr. Herb Dickieson, of Construction equipment, met the
Council and quoted the following -

20 ply tires $11,518. FOB Three Hills; immediate delivery.
@ Mr. Smith, of Costello Equipment, met the Council
and quo ed the following.

750 c.y gravel and also $67. in cash Carried
Mr. Church moved that lst. Reading be given to
By -Law # 221 to purchase a used Garwood Scraper 12--11; cu. yd.
from St Reynolds, of Wetaskiwin, subject to the following -
1. Price delivered to Three Hills $7,650
2. All tires to be removed and checked at his expense.
3. One week free trial period to be allowed.

Mr. Boese moved 2nd. Reading to the said By -Law.

Mr. Peters moved 3rd. Reading to the said By -Law.

Mr. H. Hanson, Asst. Sec -Trees , presented the pay -
sheets for consideration Moved by Mr Peters that these be
passed for payment, as corrected and approved. Carried.
Mr. C. ruby, Field Supervisor, mmkkxk met the Council
for a short discussion of his work.
Mr. C. Christie and Mr. J. Miller (Assessors) met the
Council and discussed soil classifications and rates Mr Brown
moved that Mr. Christie write to the Director of Assessments to

The Insurance Comm reported that insurance had been
.n accordance with recommendations and the various
were submitted for consideration. Mr. Brown moved
s report be adopted and that the insurance premiums be

Mr. G. King, Sec - Treas., submitted a list of the
payment3 agreed upon for land, fencing, and crop where extra
propertr was required for road widening. Moved by Mr. Meston
that payments be made as per the list submitted. Carried.
Mr. Peters moved that Sunnyslope be granted two
speed Z ne signs,1 two extra street lights, and that app. : mi
of stre is be gravelled this year. Carried.

Mr. Church moved that Russell Snell be paid $25.00
as full settlement for land and fencing in NW- 25- 30 -23 -4.

Mr. Peters moved that Mr. Alfred Gibson be paid $30.00
for use of Pt. 52- 17- 30 -23 -4 for road in 1953, 1954, and 1955•
Carried.
Mr Church moved that Mr. Leo Brown and Mr. Jack Brown
be paid x;25. for fencing and $25. for land in NE- 22- 29 -22 -4
(McKinnon coulee) Carried. (Total to be paid `50.00)
Mr. Campbell moved that F. H. Robertson be paid $70.00
for use of land in 5E- 36- 34 -22 -4 for road, this to be in full
settlement to the end of 1954 Carried.
Mr Church moved that the road comm investigate the
need fo a road to avoid travelling through 5E- 36- 34 -22 -4.

Mr. Meston moved that rir. Peters and Mr. Hogg be
authori ed to engage a cook for the North Frew. Carried.
Mr. Schmelke moved that the Council approve of the
application of W. E. Gaetz of Torrington to operate a White
Rose Garage just north of Torrington. Carried
Letters were read regarding the meeting of the
Canadian Good goads Association to be held at Banff Sept. 13th
to 16th, 1955. The question of sending a delegate was tabled
until next meeting
Mr. Peters moved that "Ir. Church have authority to
arrange for removing of fences where same are required for
road grading East 25- �8 -21 -4 (Andersons). Carried.
Limit of X50. for half -mile
Mr Peters moved that kr. Brown investigate regarding
gravel being removed from the Municipal pit in NW- 4- 28 -26 -41
without authority for said removal. Carried.
Mr. Church moved that the road comm. and H. J. Gimbel
arrange to have the Creek Crossing ESE- 23- 30 -26 -4 (Wiebes)
made passable. Carried.
Mr Schmelke reported that he would like to have
B & T Construction do some prospecting for gravel in his
divisio , using the Back -Hoe

The Sec.- Treas. was requested to report the following
to the Bridge Branch.
1. Material from old bridge SSW- 6- 32 -22 -4 (Vasseurs)
has been removed and is available to the Bridge Branch
2. Culvert promised this year for Wj- SW- 16- 30 -26 -4
(Hansli s) has not been received, we will wish to make the
install tion in about one month.
3. Two bridges were promised in Torrington area- -
when wi 1 these be installed? (Morley & Deans)
4- Steel bridge south of Sunnyslope on North -South
road and one just east & north of Hainings both need new decks.
Mr. Peters moved that Mr. A. 0. Lreitzke be billed
for 5 4s. work with the Motor Patrol at $6. hr. (Time spent
was 6 h s. - -one hr. to be free in return for work done)
The Council discussed the County set -up and the
possibi iats iy of applying for a County for this area. No
action taken.
