Schimke to the University Hospital, Edmonton, as this District assumed any responsibility for the account Carried. Mr. Winther, as Trustee of three Hills School Division # 60, requested that the said Division be advanced a payment to be calculated as one - quarter of a 25 mill rate Moved by Mr. Schmelke that this payment be made. Carried The committee of Messrs. Winther, Schmelke, Meston, and King reported on the proposed boundary changes for Secs. 7 & 8-34-26-4 and Secss 11 and 12/34 -27 -4 Moved by Yr Winther that this District recommend that the said sections remain a part of this M icipal District, and that a letter be sent o the Dept. of�unicipal Affairs giving the reasons. Mr. Ohlhauser moved that the following be added Municipal District and that a letter be sent to the Municipal Affairs giving the reasons: Secs. ## 25 to 36 incl. of 27 -24-4 Secs. 1 to 12 Incl. of 28 -24 -4 Secs. 25 to 36 incl of 27 -23 -4 Secs. 1 to 12 incl of 28 -23 -4 Secs. 3 to 10 Incl. of 28 -22 -4. Motion carried. Mr. Meston moved that the Council do not approve )ad lease to Thos Johnson, as roads should be avail - public use. Carried Mr. Church moved that the Village of Acme be requested to have A survey made of the land required for the sewer line where it now encroaches on the road allowance, and that the Municipal District agree to grant them a transfer to this property following the survey being approved Carried. Mr. Meston moved that the bond for Gordon G King be renewed with the Globe Indemnity Co and that the premium of 00 00 be paid. Carried Yr. Preston moved that Mr Parry and G. King invest- igate regarding the licence application of Bert & Walt's Electric, with power to act Carried. The request of the C. N. I. Blind for grant was tabled. Mr. Ohlhauser moved that Mr. Schmelke investigate regarding repairs to the truck of Duncan B. MacKenzieT with power to offer settlement not in excess of $30.00. Carried Mr Schmelke moved that Mr. Ruby be authorized to purchase a new pump for the Municipal Sprayer. Carried Tarr. Ohlhauser moved that Vir Ruby and Mr. Winther be delegtes to the Agricultural Service Board Convention in Edmon on on March 29th and 30th. Carried Mr Pieston moved that C E. Ruby be appointed as Deputy- Rturning Officer for the Poll at the Municipal Office on March-21/557 as P1r H. Hughes is unable to act. Carried Mr I,1Ieston reported that Lots 27 & 28 B1k 81 Three Hills are for sale, together with a warehouse app. 12 ft by 16 ft , with electrical wiring. The said lots are immediately north of our present Shop property ;Ir. Meston moved ist. reading to By -law # 210 to purchase the said property from Sturdie Propane Ltd. for $900 00 Carried. Allan J. Purvis, a Secretary- Treasurer had to be appointed, temporarily. Flr Ralph Brown, councillor - elect, acted as Secretary of this meeting while this was dealt with Flr. Ohlhauser moved that Gordon G King act as Secreta y- Treasurer temporarily until the first meeting of the new Council Carried F,Ir Church moved that Gordon G. King be empowered to sign cheques and legal documents for the Municipal District of Knee ill # 48 and that the banking resolutions be amended accordi gly Carried Mr. C J. Christie presented the accounts and same were discussed Mr. Ohlhauser moved that the accounts be passed for the Davidson Account for $95.30 Westerberg Acct. for $74 50 Holy Cross Hospital Mrs Tony Both Acct. for $67 30 Iflotion carried. Mr. Christie was instructed to get further information on the Jbove accounts that were refused. Iar Schmelke moved that a letter of protest be sent to Unior Tractor Co regarding a handling charge of 20 made by the said Company on repair parts returned It was to be pointed out that a shaft had been shipped by their error. Carried. Iv1r. Ohlhauser moved that the Municipal District pay,,, the difference between X and CV truck licences for C. E. Ruby, Robert Hogg, 11. J. Gimbel, and any other employees who require same for their Municipal work. Carried.. Mr Church moved that the 5% penalty added to the tax arrejars as at 1'1,1arch 1/55 in respect to N-- 27- 27 -21 -4 (H Bruce Clark) be cancelled as his cheque in payment was dated irk February and was first sent to the former M. D. of ServiceVerry in error. Carried I,lr. Ohlhauser moved that 11r. lvlatt Schmaltz, Ralph Brown, and G King investigate further re the Goerlitz bridges in vicinity of 5E- 3- 30 -26 -4 Carried IIr Ohlhauser moved that the Director of Surveys be notified that this Council does not approve of the cancelling of the Oirvey of the old route of Highway# 21 to the north and westg of 5E -28 -29 -24-4. Carried. Mr Church moved that Gottlieb Buchert be paid $40.00 for land for road diversion and cut -off in 5E- 26- 33 -25 -4• Carried.
