$692,27 be paid; and that this firm be appointed as Auditors of
the Muni�ipal District for 1955. Carriad.

Drumheller Hospital District No. 3 in settlement of Geo. Webberts

Moved by Mr. Meston that advertisements regarding
iinated scrolls for Senior Citizens (Golden Jubilee
be inserted in all local papers published in the
District. Carried.
Moved by Mr Schmaltz that Golden Jubilee Committee
be advis te d that the Council of this Municipal District wish to
work in o- operation with towns and villages, that the entire
Council a Committee for this purpose; and that A. J. Purvis
be appoifited as secretary of said committee, Carried.
Moved by Mr. Meston that Emil Niemi be kept in
St. Mary s Hospital for winter months, and that the Municipal
District pay the costs of his maaintenance, less his Old Age
Pension; and that Mr. Martin Winther be appointed to investigate
his case further. Carried„
Aloved by Mr. Schmaltz that the North lonerica Insurance
Company lie advised that abnormal moisture conditions in 1954
contributed to accidents and bridge failures, that employees
have bee instructed to remove rocks from the roads after
maintenance operations, and that bridges in the Municipal
District have been given a thorough inspedtion in recent years
Carried.
Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that the petition from the
residents of south side of 35 -24-4 requesting to be incorporated
into the limits of this Municipal District be submitted by
the Reeve and Secretary - Treasurer to the Board of Three Hills
School Division No 60. Carried.
J Moved by Mr. Meston that $10,00 be paid to Mr. E. J.
Shackleton, Olds, Alberta, for costs of preparing Transfer of
property 'from Gottlieb Jahnke, Olds, Alta. Carried,
Letter from Dept. of Agriculture regarding A.S.Bd.
Conference March 29 and 309 1955, was tabled.
Moved by Mr A. H. Church that Department of Lands
and Fore is be notified that Council do not approve of
lease of road allowances adjacent to Section 12- 30 -22 -4 to
Thos. Jol ston, in accordance with policy of Council in these
matters. Carried.
H J Gimbel interviewed the Council; and

plans for repair of old RD�-u engine and winch. Mr.
S C Se alke moved that engine be repaired, but that winch
be left '1 as is ". Carried.
Moved by Mr, Schmalke that application of Canadian
Oil Companies to erect oil warehouse on C P R. right -of -way
at Wimborne be approved. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Parry that order of minister of Health
setting inimum tax of $10.00 in Three Hills Municipal Hospital
Di_strict;No 45 be accepted and filed for reference. Carried.
Secretary- Treasurer submitted reports from the
Prairie Farm Assistance office, showing the areas of the ICI D.
of Kneehill No. 48 eligible for awards on 1954 crop. Moved
bin Mr. 011hauser that said reports be accepted and filed.

A report of bridge inspections recently completed by
(Bridge Inspector) was considered. Mr Ohlhauser

Mr Schmelke and G King reported on the investigation
of the damage claim of Lloyd Weigum in respect to neighbors
going th,ough his crop in 1954 in SW- 12- 33 -25 -4 Mr. Reston
moved that Lloyd Weigum be paid $50.00 in full settlement of
the damages. Carried
The advisability of purchasing land for a roadway
south of 12- 33 -25 -4 was tabled for reference to the new Council.
, Mr G King presented to Council a list showing the
accounts receivable as at Dec 31, 1954, for machinery work, etc
Mr. Schmaltz moved that the account of Mrs. Lydia
Bohl for a balance of $10.00 be cancelled, as she has left
the Dist ict Carried
Mr Ohlhauser moved that registered letters be sent
to each f the following respecting their accounts.

IVIr. Schmelke moved that Richardson Bros be informed
that thi6 District will accept one -third of their account
of $246.44 as full settlement, as the account was for gravelling
on a Mun cipal road. Carried.

Mr. G. King reported to Council that a Government
Crew was now in the District and thus far had authority
:he following work:
S/SE- 1- 33 -25 -4 Repair caps (Albrechts)
S/SE- 4- 33 -26 -4 Repairs (1 mi. W. of Torrington)
S/SW- 13- 31 -26 -4 Repair work
(Sunnyslope)
S/SW- 16- 31 -22 -4 Construct new 5 - -28' precast concrete
spans with 24' roadway (Sarcee).
Mr. G. King reported to Council that the Government
;paid this District $3,152.18 of the 1955 Road Grant,
zm being 751 of the cost to date of the Sarcee West job.
The Council discussed the need of an Elevating Grader
with Motor and the advisability of buying a second -hand machine.
Mr. Ron Ainsworth, of Ferguson Supply met with the
Council He quoted a price for a motor for an hev. Grader.
Case 61 H.P. Model LAE $1744.64 (Gas motor - -new)
Mr. Ohlhauser moved that an order be given to Ferguson
Supply for reflectorized checker -board road signs, complete
with p sts, 12 to be shipped to Carbon and 6 to Three Hills.
Carried.
Mr. Ken Moore, of Union Tractor, met the Council.
He sai that the app. trade -in value of the RD -8 Serial 1 H 2094
(south camp) would be $3,500 to $4,000. on a new D -8. He agreed
to sub it prices of a motor for the Elev. Grader.
Secretary - Treasurer reported to Council that since
January 1st7 1955 the following amounts of taxes have been
collected from lands which are now transferred to other
Munici al Districts:
