Mr. G. F. Jahnke, of Allingham, Alberta, was present
,the offer the Municipal District to buy from him
1 half of L.S.D. No 8 of Sec. 16- 32 »26 -4 for $4,000,
3e of all mortgages and other encumbrances. After
liscussion, Mr. Jahnke offered to sell this land
)0.00. It was moved by Mr Ohlhauser that the Municipal
offer $4,250900 for the land. This offer was
tted to Mr. Jahnke, and he said that he would advise
;ember 17th, 1954 as to his decision in this matter.

Moved by Mr. Meston that A. J. Purvis be instructed
iew Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lammle and inform them that the
District will supply their children with glasses, if
agreeable to have this done. Carried.
Foreman H. J. Gimbel interviewed the Councilq and
informed ,them them that 112 feet of 48 inch pipe and 72 feet of
36 inch pipe has been put in fill at Snell -- Martins road.
Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that the shop committee (Melton,
Ohlhause and Purvis) be given authority to purchase coal stoker
and fan for the Carbon shop. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that Leslie Rist be informed
that his services are no longer required by the Municipal Dist-
rict, Carried.
Messrs. Sam Leiske, Albert Huether and Emil Gramms
interviewed the Council regarding the southernboundary of
Co- Termirlous area No. 14.
Messrs. N. V. Cline, Elgin Huntley and Dr. Elliott
interviewed the Council regarding the western boundary of
Co- .Terminus area No. 14:
It was moved by Mr. Winther that arrangements be
made to send a delegation to Edmonton to interview the
Ministers of Municipal Affairs and Education, and to request
that the following changes be made in the boundaries of
Co-TeMilLOus area No. 14.
1. In Twp. 28, Rgs. 21,22,23 and 24: the areas
lying south of Highway No. 9.
2. In Twp. 27, Rgs 23 and 24: The north one -third
of these townships.
3. In Twps. 29 and 30, Rge. 27: The east one -sixth
of these ranges.
4. In Twps. 32 and 33, Rge. 27: The area added to
Co -termi ous area No. 14 by the Co- terminous Boundary Commission
and late removed by order of the Minister of Municipal Affairs.
Carried.
It was moved by Mr. Meston that the representatives
of the Council be Mr. Ohlhauser, Mr. Schmelke, Mr. G. G. King
and Mr. A. J. Purvis, and that invitations be extended to the
two groups mentioned above to send representatives at their own
expense. Carried.
Mr. F. J Niddrie, M.L.A., interviewed the Council,
and disc sed matters of local interest, roads, bridges, etc.
Mr. Nidd ie requested that, in future, a copy of the bridge
request ist be sent to him.
Council adjourned from 12.15 to 1.30 p.m. for dinner.
Business resumed at 1.30 p.m. All members of Council present.
Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that Secretary - Treasurer be
authorized to take steps to collect seed grain account of
$97.75 registered against NW- 33-31 - 23.-41 owned icy Roger. P.
Kirk, of Three Hills, Alta. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that F. K. Paget be advised
that Lot 1 and 2, Block 7, Swalwell, will be dold for $25.00

Moved by Mr Winther that Secretary. - Treasurer be
instructed to take steps to revover the Delaney boy's account
at the P ovincial Mental Hospital from the father, Edward Delaney,
of Huxley, Alberta. Carried.
Secretary - Treasurer read a report submitted by Mr.
Vickerm , of Haddin, Davis and Brown, on the Linden Water Line
project; and it was moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that the said report
be accepted, and payment of the accounts approved be authorized.
Carried.
Mr. Arnold Boese interviewed the Council, and gave
additional information regarding the above project. Moved by
Mr. Schur ltz that Mr. Arnold Boese be appointed caretaker of
the Linden water line pump-hpuse. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that approval be given to the
application of Mr. Arnold Boese to Department of Trade and
Industries for a license to operate a Garage at Lot 4, Block 2,
Linden. Carried.
The Council reviewed and discussed the Inspector's
Report (Department of Municipal Affairs) of inspection made
on Oct. 19th, 1954. It was moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that said
report be accepted, and acknowledgement of same made by the
Reeve. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Schmelke that Mr. Christie be instructed
to investigate the needs of the Saul Rouz family, and that he
be given authority to issue emergent relief, if same is necessary.
Carried.
Mr. Winther agreed to investigate the matter of the
resident of Mr. Ole Petersen in this Municipal District.
Moved by Mr. Schmelke that Mr. Winther be instructed
to interview Mr. F. H. Robertson regarding arrangements made
by Mr. C. C. Campbell (Ex-Councillor) for roadway across
SW-36-34-22-4 Carried.
Moved by Mr. Schmelke that Lots 37 & 38, Block 3,
Swalwell, be sold to David Janzen, of Swalwell, for $10.00
each; and that by -law authorizing said sale be authorized in
first and second readings. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Schmelke that Secretary- Treasurer be
authorizel to take custody of cheque No. 4536 for $1,000.00,
payable tD Mrs. Leah Leischner and Mrs. Rose Stehpen; the
said cheqae being now in the custody of the Bank of Montreal,
rrochu. arried.
Moved by Mr. Schmelke that Municipal District pay
Mrs. Haze 's account at Olds Hospital ($129.00), and make an
offer of 105.00 to the Olds Associate Clinic in full settle-
nent of #s account of $210.00. Carried.

annual holiday. Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that Robert

Moved by Mr. L. P. Meston that a Double -Drum Cable

Moved by Mr. Meston that application be made to the
Game Branch, Department of Lands and Forests, for authority
to have iuuskrats trapped at any location within the Municipal
Districts where damage to roads and fills is being caused

Secretary- Treasurer was instructed to request
George Vernon Cranston to take the office of Pound - keeper at

Moved by Mr. Meston that application be made to The
Gordon Taylor for an advance payment of the 1955

Moved by Mr. Church that Cyril Steward be paid $300.00

Moved by Mr. Parry that recommendation be made to
the Brid a Branch that temporary repairs only be made to the
Sunnyslo a Bridge; also recommend that a new location for the
bridge be considered later. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Schmelke that the northern part of the
road diversion in NE- 14-•31 »26-4 be cancelled, and the part of
the diversion to be retained be that part lying 200 yards north
of the ntisance ground, and south of the nuisance ground to the
southern boundary of quarter- section. Carried#
Moved by Mr. Matt. Schmaltz that the captains who
organize the Bangs vaccination program be paid for 1 days
work at 10.00, plus mileage at 10¢ per mile. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that 40 rolls of snow-fence
be ordered from Ferguson Supply (Alberta) Ltd.: 20 rolls for
delivery to Three Hills yard and 20 rolls for delivery to
Carbon yard. Carried.

Mr. G. G. King read the agreement between the Municipal
District and Clarence Elvin (as prepared by Ferguson & Ferguson,
JTrochu, Alberta); and it was moved by Mr. Schmaltz that Reeve and
Secretary-Treasurer be authorized to sign same on behalf of the
Municipal, District. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that the account of Ferguson
f & Ferguson for preparing the above agreement ($10.00) be paid.
