each sh before end of 1953. Carried,
Moved by Mr, Schmaltz that C.P.R. be asked to have
a representative here for meeting of March 9th, 1953• Carried,
Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that A. E. Holt be notified
that his services are not required after this date. Carried.
The Secretary- Treasurer reported that collections
have been made since Jan. 12tht 1953 from the following rate-
payers whose grain was attched by the Municipal District:

current expenses. Promised to pay at least $400.00 from returns
from 45 bus. oats, 100 bus. barley, 100 bus. wheat and part
proceed of one bull, when same are marketed, Secretary - Treasurer
gave re ease of $300.00, addressed to U.G.G. Ltd. Huxley.
Mr. Schmaltz moved that Council give approval to
the above transaction with Harry Griffiths. Carried.
Mr. Schmelke moved that release of seizure be given
Mr. David Zeh. Carried.
The Secretary read a request from Arthur R. Brown
of Drumheller that the annual meeting of the ratepayers today
pass a resolution recommending to the Minister of Justice that
the sentence of execution imposed on one Viggo Petersen of
Drumheller be commuted to a. sentence of _life imprisonment,
Secretary was instructed to have this matter submitted to the
ratepay rs meeting today.
Mr. Petersen moved that Albert Johnson be appointed
D.R.O. for Manor poll., replacing Fred Johnson. Carried.
Secretary read notice from Orville Hart that he
will not in future be responsible for goods, or funds, given
to his wife Nellie Hart.
Secretary read proposal from Stanley Stasel to sell
grass -seed to Municipal District, proceeds to be applied on
taxes. Proposal tabled until March 9th, 1953•
Moved by Mr, Petersen that Municipal District purchase
from H. J. Gimbel, of Carbon, Alta. Lot 12, Block 5, Carbon,
plan 4387P, for $150.00, cash. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Ohlhanser that the following accounts
