Moved by Mr. Olson that the Minutes of the meeting held on Sept. 9th, 1952, be adopted, Carried. Moved by Mr. Petersen that the Minutes of the special meeting held on Sept. 20th, 1952, be adopted. Carried. Carried. Moved by Mr. Petersen that a grant of $100.00 be made to The Sisters of Our Lady of Charity, 8421 -101st Ave. Edmontont Alberta. Carried. Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that a grant of $200,00 be made to the Drumheller Agricultural Society, Drumheller, Alberta, Carried, Moved by Mr. Schmelke that the irregularities reported by the Auditors, (the purchasing of goods for individuals in the name of the Municipal District), be discontinued at once$ and notice to this effect be sent to the employees, Carried. Moved by Mr. Petersen that approval be given to the issuing of a restaurant license to W. E. Earls of Huxley! Alta. Carried Secretary- Treasurer was instructed to order 350 steel posts for snow- fence. King, submitted a list of accounts receivable (for machinery rentals, etc.) and it was moved by Mr. Petersen that warning notices be sent to seven debtors whose accounts are badly in arrears that collection costs will be added to accounts if not paid by Nov. 15, 1952, Carried, Court of Revision was held at 2.00 p.m, and appeals were heard from: 10 ! Secretary - Treasurer, submitted the pay- sheets, and it was moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that same be passed for payment. Carried. Council Meeting held Oct. 141 1952. --------------------------------- - - - - -- Mr. Dean, representative of Cruickshank Road Machinery Co. Ltd. interviewed the Council. Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that duplicate of the 1951 culvert order be given for delivery to Three Hills and carbon. Carried. Mr. Jack Morrismn, representative of Union Tractor and Equipment Co. Ltd., Calgary, interviewed the Council' and quoted t following prices on equipment: Domor at chment for No. 12 motor grader: $6,931 No. 12 Motor Grader, (less scarifier) 189834 Snow - blower attachment for No. 12 12015 Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that W. B. McCr#rken be ^ charged $150.00 for road work, including culverts. Carried. Moved by Mr. Olson that Richardson Bros. be charged the cost of gravelling the road west of SW- 15- 31 -24 -4 1122 yds. of grave ). Carried. Mr, Walker, District Agriculturist from Strathmore, Alberta, was present and interviewed the Council on the matter of the Municipal District's contribution of $2,000.00 to the Rosebud Seed Cleaning Plant. Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that By -Law No. 170 to provide grant of $29000 to the said Rosebud Seed Cleaning Plant be repared, and that first reading of said By -Law be passed. arried.
