Page 1. -- - --------- - - - - -- ------------------- The Council met at 9.30 a.m. on Monday the 18th day of Febru rye 1952. Present: Mr. J. W. Olson, Mr. J. A. Ohlhauser! Mr. M. Schmaltz' Mr, H. Parry2 Mr, F. C. Petersen] Mr. S. C. Schmelke and Mr. C. C. Campbell. Moved by Mr Schmaltz that minutes of the previous meeting be adopted. Carried, Financial Statement for January, 1952, submitted: Net balance Jan. lstj 1952s 12, 654. 35 Receipts in Januaryq 1952: 70, 858. 27 Sub-total 83, 512. 62 Disbursements in Januarys 1952: 119 579. 12 Net balance Jan. 31st, 1952: 71, 933. 50 Moved by Mr. J. J. Christie was instructed to investigate the application for Mothers' Allowance submitted by Mrs. O'Callaghan. Moved by Mr. Olson that insurance coverage on the Three Hills shop be increased to $10,000. Carried. Mr, Christie's reports on households of Mrs. Rasmussen and Mrs. Buchert read, and moved by Mr, Schmaltz that same be forwarded to Supt, of Mothers' Allowance. Carried. Secretary was instructed to order 500 steel posts and 100 gallons of Anti- freeze from A.A.M,D. Moved by Mr. Olson that the application of Mr. John Moat to lease road allowance East of 16 & 21+-30 -21.4 and South of 16 »3021 »4 be refused' on the grounds that same is required at certain times by the public. Carried. Mr. C. J. Christie was instructed to investigate circumstances of Mr, Martin Davis, Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that permission be given to Gulf Oil Co. to proceed with survey work, on condition that no damage be done to roads, grades, or private property* Carried. Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that this Municipal District accept responsibility for hospitalization of Oscar Gachal, Carried. Carried. M Moved by Mr. Campbell that the sum of $250.00 paid to this Municipal District by Mrs. Violet Johnson in 1951 (Receipt No. 4504) be transferred from "Donation to Public Works" t "Payment on taxes ". Carried. Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that Mr. C. Gordon be appoint- ed Deputy Returning Officer at Berkeley School. Carried. The following parties interviewed the Council: Mr, W. B. McCrackent re building of road Mr. Milton Falkenbergt re building of road. Mr. E. P. Fosters re operation of Three Hills fire fighting unit. Moved by Mr. Schmelke that Bert Christensen be paid $1.20 per hour for labor. Carried. Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that Gordon Hunt be paid $1.20 per hour for labor. Carried. Moved by Mr. J. A. Ohlhauser that $6.00 per hour be charged for V -plow and $10.00 per hour for Rotary plow for pri- vate work, as from February lstt 1952. Carried.
