J. Christie attend that Assessors' Meeting in Edmonton on Carried. Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that the firm of Philips, Hamilton and Associates, 9675 -102A Avenue, Edmonton, be engaged as municipal surveyors. Carried. Mr. J. W. Olson was instructed to interview Otto Pallesen and Martin Sember regarding lease of road allowances (Section3 35 and 36- 28- 22 -4). Moved by Mr. F. C. Petersen that municipal relief for Mr. E. Niemi, Trochu, be discontinued at once. Carried, Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that a grant of $600.00 be made to The Salvation Army. Carried. Moved by Mr. F. C. Petersen that first reading be given to By -Law to provide for the payment of the following charitable grants in 1951: The Salvation Army: $600.00 The Sisters of Charity: $100.00 Institute for the Blind* $150.00 Drumheller Agricultural Soc. $200,00 Carried, Second reading given to above Bye -Law and moved by Mr. J. A6 Ohlhauser that same be passed, Carried. Third reading given to above By -Law and moved by Mr. Campbell that same be passed. Carried, The Secretary - Treasurer reported that Lot 20, Block 3, Torringt n, (the site of the town well and pump - house) is to the name of the Canadian Pacific Railway Co. Secretary- Treasurer was instructed to investigate this matter more fully. Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that taxes from Jan. lst to June 1st, 1951 on Lot "X", Block "A", Beiseker, for $14.85 be paid. C rried. Moved by Mr. J. A. Ohlhauser that provisional order for FWD bruck and snow -plow with Costello Equipment Co. Ltd,, Calgary, be cancelled, Carried. Third reading given to By -Law No. 152 (sale of Lot 25, Block 4, Huxley to Eric McCook for $10,00) and moved by Mr. F. C. Petersen that same be passed. Carried, . Mr. Martin Hecktor interviewed the Council on the matter of Seismograpg crews and other matters. Mrs. Boles and Mr. Wm. Richardson interviewed the Council Dn the matter of a grant to the Three Hills Community Centre, Mr. and Mrs. Brown, 1712 - -9A Street West, Calgary, intervieiwed the Council on the matter of Taxes on Wimborne store, Mr. Maurice Frere interviewed the Council regarding purchasing the old Richardson Rotary Snow -Plow. Carl Isaac of Linden interviewed the Council on the P snow - plowing of roads in the Linden area. He pro- build a rotary snow -plow, and asked for some assurance ,rith the Municipal District. Mr. Schmaltz guaranteed c in Div. 3 would be given. Mr. S. C. Schmelke moved that Albert Mottern be kept on employment at present wages until next meeting of the Council. Carried. Mr. Schmaltz moved that an account be sent to the Provincial Government for gravel taken from municipal pit on 4. -28 -26 (10 ¢ per yard, and account to be sent through Sundre Contracting Co.)
