Page 2. ------------------------------------- Mr. H L. Toews and Mr. Thiessin of Sunnyslope inter - Council on the matter of snow - plowing of roads in the - Linden area Moved by Mr. J. W. Olson that first and second reading be given to by -law to authorize the sale of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Hesketh lan 4267 CS, to Stark Keinick, of Hesketh, Alberta, together with the shed (36' x 24' x 101) on the said lots for $350.00, cash. Carried. Second reading given to by -law, and moved by Mr F. C. Petersen that same be passed. Carried. Moved by Mr. J. A. Ohlhauser that first and second readings be given to by-law to authorize the sale of the house on the south end of L is 1 and 2, Block 1, Hesketh (24' x 20' x 7') to Theo. Heinrich of Hesketh, Alberta for $300.001 cash; also the sale of Lots 5, and 7, Block 1, Hesketh, to Theo. Heinrich for $30.009 cash. Carried. Second reading given to by -law, and moved by Mr. Olson same be asked. Carried. Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that Mr. C. J. Christie be instructed to attend the Assessor's Meeting in Calgary on Nov. 12th, 1951. Carried. Moved by Mr. S. C. Schmelke that relief allowance for Mrs Alma Friesin be increased to $70.00 per month. Carried. Moved by Mr. M. Schmaltz that a relief allowance of $25.00 p r month be authorized for Carl Schmaltz of Thorhild, Alberta lor winter months. Carried. Moved by Mr. J. W. Olson that agrant of $100.00 be made to he Sis*ers of Our Lady of Charity, Edmonton, Alta. Carried. Mr. N. F. Bell, District Agriculturist, interviewed the Council iaid stated that Junior Club Banquets will be held: at Drumheller on Dec. 3rd, at Three Hills on Dec. 4th, and at Beiseker on Dec. 5th. Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that Mr. Parry represent the Municipal District at Three Hills and Beiseker, and Mr. Olson at Drumheller. Carried. Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that a grant of $200.00 be paid to the Drumheller Agricultural Society. Carried. Seven farmers from the Trochu area (Mr Ambroise Lemay spokesman) interviewed the Council on the matter of snow - plowing of roads They propose to purchase a rotary snow -plow and asked that the Municipal District assist in the costs of operating same. Moved by Mr. F. C. Petersen that the Municipal District pay $4.00 per hour, and hours of operation to be arranged with the local councillors. Carried. Moved by Mr. F. C. Moved by Mr. F. C. Petersen that pay - sheets be passed for payment. Carried. Moved by Mr. J. W. Olson that no further over- expend- iture of public works be allowed, except for emergency work. Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that permission be granted to Velocity Surveys Limited, 419 -16th Ave. N.W., Calgay to carry out seismic operations in this Municipal District, on condition that no holes be drilled within j mile of farm buildings, and also ow condition that no flowing wells be left after drilling operations are completed. Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that a resolution be submitted to the 1951 Convention of A.A.M.D.'s recommending that The Municipal Assistance Act be amended so that the Municipal rate, and not the aggregate mill rate, be considered in the calcula ion of Tax Reduction Subsidy.
