A. Ohlhauser that the Financial State - pproved. Carried. Moved by Mr. J. A. Ohlhauser that the Reeve and Secreta y- Treasurer be authorized to borrow $221000 to pay current operating charges until taxes are collected. Carried. Moved by Mr F. C. Petersen that Mr. Hugh Parry and Mr. Matt Schmaltz be appointed as representatives of this Municip 1 District on the Board of the Drumheller Health Unit. Carried The report of Mr. W. S. Backman regarding the family of Carl Schmaltz? Thorhild7 Alberta7 was read, and it was moved by Mr. ,chmaltz that said report be accepted and filed. Petersen that the Municipal District ponsibility for the maintenance of Mrs. Trentham, Sr. y's Hospital, Trochu. Carried. Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that permission be granted to Century Geophysical Corporation, Olds, Alta to carry out seismic operations in certain designated areas of the Municipal Distric l on condition that no holes be drilled within s mile of farm buildings$ and also on condition that no flowing wells be left after drilling operations are completed. Carried. Moved by Mr. J. A. Ohlhauser that Secretary - Treasurer be authorized to hold a tax sale on Dec. 10th, 1951 of all lands within the Municipal District subject to sale under terms of The Tax Recovery Act. Carried. Moved by Mr. Campbell that the next meeting of the Council be held Nov. 8, 1951. Campbell that Mr. Albert I. of Trochu, Alberta, be paid $40 00 as compensation s caused by the hauling of gravel from pit on 2 -4. Carried. Moved by Mr. Petersen that correspondence be filed. Mr. Theo. Heinrich, of Hesketh, Alberta, interviewed it regarding the purchase of house on the south end of .d 2, Block 1, Hamlet of Hesketh. Moved by Mr. F. C. that this house be sold to Mr. Theo. Heinrich for ash, and also that Lots 5, 6 and 7, Block 1, Hesketh or $30.00 cash to Mr. Theo. Heinrich. Carried. ich accepted this price, and paid $330.00 cash No. 963 ) Mr. Cunningham and Mr. Koch interviewed the Council regarding the road between Sections 11 and 14- 32- 24--4. Mr F C Petersen agreed to make improvements to this road as soon as he can secure the grading outfits. Mr. E. R. Fleetham, representing Costello Equipt. Co Calgary, interviewed the Council. Moved by Mr. J. W. Olson that an order be placed with Costello Equipt Co , Calgary for one new FWD Truck, SU model, equipped with Wausau Snow plow and wing, dump box, heater clearance lights, chhins, spare tire and anti - freeze, price ,750.00, subject to cancellation to Ded. 15, 1951, and if purchased, same to be invoiced after Jan. 1, 1952. Carried, Mr. C4r'istie reported on the condition of the house o Lots 442, Block 31 Swalwell, and occupied by Mr. Jansen, tenant. Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that repairs to the roof be authorized, and Mr. Jansen engaged to do the work, also th t $12.00 per month rent be charged Mr. Jansen, and labor co is to be applied on rent. Carried. Mr. Schmaltz moved that Secretary - Treasurer be instructed to take Title under Tax Recovery Act of Lots 41 --42, Block 3, Swalwell, and Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Hesketh. Carried. The Secretary - Treasurer was instructed to take steps to collect the rent on Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Hesketh, from Mrs. Stark Keinick, tenant, and apply same on arrears of taxes. Mr. G. G. King, Asst. Secy. Treas. submitted the paysheet and public works report, and it was moved by Mr. F C. Peterseq that paysheets be passed for payment. Carried. Moved by Mr. S. C. Schmelke that new road -crew employees be paid $1.05 per hour for the first 200 hours, then $1.20 pear hour if services are satisfactory. Carried Mr. Forrester, representing Cruickshank Road Mach- inery Co;., Calgary. interviewed the Council. Mr. Schmalke moved that an order be placed with Mr. Forrester for metal culverts Carried. (Duplicate of order given in spring of 1951•) Mr. Parry and Mr. Schmelke agreed to investigate and make awards in the pound dispute between Henry Haffner and Milton Aempfer, of Torrington.
