Moved by Mr M Schmaltz that the Town of Three Hills be advised that this Municipal District will co- operate in the negotiations for the extension of Natural Gas services to this area of the Province. Carried. Moved by Mr. M. Schmaltz that the letter from the Farmers' Union of Alberta re appeal be referred to the Executive of the A.A M D. for advice. Carried. Moved by Mr. Campbell that asked tc take steps to have the open in the Famlet of Huxley filled in so existing at present. Carried. Mr. Fred Wulff interviewed of gravelling the five miles of road 21- 30 -24 -4 five miles west. Mr. C. Weis of Huxley be basement on his property as to eliminate the hazard the Council on the matter from NE corner of Section Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marshman of (carbon interviewed the Council on the matter of education of their eight year old son, who is not making progress in his school work. It was moved by Mr. Campbell that the Council do not approve ;of the application of Mr. Harry Holland for the lease of the road allowance lying east of SE- 24- 32 -22 -4. Carried. Messrs Bettcher, Forsch and Bertsch interviewed the Council on the matter of about 4 mile of road to join the Lion Church on Sec. 15- 23 -22 -4 with the new location of the Highway No 9. This matter was left with lyir J. W. Olson for action. Moved by fir. S. C. Schmelke that the Garnishee of the Inc me Tax Dept. for X257.20 against Mr. C. J. Christie be acce t6d, and payment made at rate of $35-00 per month Carried.: Moved by Mr. F. C Brian Mason of Sunnyslope in $74.10 te paid. Carried. Secretary reported the Drumheller Health Unit to Municipal District. Petersen that the account of the Holy Cross Hospital for on the proposed enlargement of include the entire area of this Moved by Mr. -l. Schmaltz that the application of F. J. Schmelke that Mr. Aubrey appointed Member of the Elnora Hospital District Board ded in Section 49(2) of The municipal District Hospitals rried Moved by Mr. Matthew Schmaltz that a grant of $150.00 be made to The Canadian National Institute for the Blind. Carried Moved by Mr. J. A. Ohlhauser that the members of the Council be paid $8.00 per day and 100 per mile for use of car for att nding meetings, supervision of public works and committee work. Carried. I Moved by Mr. J A Ohlhauser that the Auditors, Robertson, Anderson and Co., of Red'Deer be paid $675 00 in 1951. Carried. Moved by Mr. J A. Ohlhauser that Mr. Cecil Paget, proprietor of the Swalwell Hotel, and Mr. Martin Powers of Swalwell, be informed that they must discontinue the pumping of sewa e onto the street between Blocks 2 and 7 in Swalwell. Mrs. Milligen, Mrs. Davidson and Mrs Mason, all of Sunn slope, interviewed the Council on the matter of a childre 's playground in Sunnyslope. Tyr. Parry was asked to attend E meeting of the Busy Bee Society in Sunnyslope to see whkt car, be done in this matter. The following parties, representing the firms men- tioned, interviewed the Council: Mr. Mallett, of Mallett Construction Co. Mr. Fleetham of Costello Equipment Co. Mr Staite, of Staite Construction Co. Mr. Eslinger, Contractor, Wimborne. Mr. Ellethorpe. of Sundre Contracting Co. Tyr. Robinson, of Waterous Limited. Mr. Ainsworth, of Ferguson Supply Co. Mr Forrester, of Cruickshank R M. Co. Moved by Mr Schmelke that the property known as Lot f1X11 Block A, Beisker 5184 GB, be sold to Mr. V. Zacher, of 601 -7th Ave. N.E., Calgary for $500.00, cash. Carried. Moved by Mr. Petersen that application be made to the Provinc al Government for a grant of $5,000 for the building of the road leading to the Morrin Ferry on Dist Highway. (Calculation: 4 of 4% of $37100) Moved by Mr. M. Schmaltz that no holiday bonus be paid to the foremen in 1951• that each foreman arrange his holiday in advance with the Reeve. Carried. Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that each employee using his own car or truck in his work be paid 100 per mile, and each employeE must furnish his own gasoline and oil, that the two mun cipal trucks be used for municipal business only; and that th two foremen be advised accordingly. Carried. Moved by Mr. F C. Petersen that the pay - sheets be passed or payment. Carried. Mr. F. B. Comnors, District Engineer, and his assist t Mr. Danchuk were present, and discussed with the Council the allocation of the 1951 Public Works Grant. Moved by Mr. S. C. Schmelke that Council pay the expense of Mr. G. G. King to the Agricultural Service Board Confere ce, also that Council approve of the appointment of Mr. Sc altz and Mr. Backman as delegates. Carried, Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that this Municipal District make application to the Alberta Department of Agriculture for the est4blishment of a coyote control policy within the boundares of the Municipal District. Carried. Loved by Mr. Petersen that each Councillor be appoint 'd as Fire Warden for the area of the 4.D within his div sion; and that Mr. W. S. Backman be appointed as Warden-it-large. Carried. Mr. Schmaltz moved that burning of stubble within the Municipal District be prohibited, unless the Field Super -' visor and the local Councillor, or the whole Council, gives approva .
