Moved by Mr. Schmelke that approval be given to
the appl cation of Mr. J K Grusie of Torrington for a license
to sell Sporting goods. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Schmelke that recommendation be made to
the Supt, of Mothers' Allowance that an increase of $10.00 per
month be made in the allowance paid Mrs. Rose Nikolaus. Carried.

Moved by Mr. Olson that the requisition of the
Health Unit for $144.84 be accepted, and paid.
Moved by Mr Petersen that the letter from Donald
be given to Mr. J. A. Findlay for investigation. Carried.
Moved by Mr Schmelke that $100.00 grant be paid
than National Institute for the Blind. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that the letter from The
Salvatio Army advising of an increase in rates for inmates
of their home be accepted, and placed on file. Carried,
I Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that $200.00 be paid the Drum-
heller Municipal Hospital in settlement of Mrs. Janet Walker
account. Carried,
Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that the Calgary General
Hospital -be advised that, according to our investigations,
John Hager, of 134- -2nd Ave. East, Calgary, has been a resident
Of Calgary since Sept. 1948, and is therefore the responsibility
of the City of Calgary for hospitalization. Carried.
The Secretary - Treasurer submitted a report showing
the insurance policies in effect at the present time. It was
moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that the fire insurance on the Carbon
shop be increased to $4,000 for the building, and $22000 for
the contents. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Petersen that the Secretary- Treasurer
investigate the cost of Public Liability Insurance for the five
motor graders. Carried.
Secretary- Treasurer was instructed to cancel the
insurance on the two Huber tractors and the Richardson Rotary
Snow-ploq when present insurance policy expires.
Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that Council adjourn for
dinner. Carried.
Wm. Howell, Foreman, interviewed the Council, and
reported,on the repair work being done on the various machines.

Moved by Mr. Ohlhauser that the x.00 minimum tax for
1950 collected from Stephen Litvak be remitted to the Town of
Three Hills, as he is a resident of the town in 1950. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Petersen that Mr. G. G. King be instruct-
ed to prepare a report of the 1950 activities of the Agricultural
Service Board to be submitted to the ratepayers Carried.
Moved by Mr. Olson that Secretary- Treasurer be instruct-
ed to prepare Supplementary Report as in previous years. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that advertisements be placed
in Calgary Herald and Calgary Albertan for applications for post
of FieldlSupervisor of the Municipal District. Carried.
Moved by Mr. Campbell that the Provincial Government
be informed that this Municipal District is willing to assume
one-fourth of the cost of paying a $5.00 bounty on coyotes
killed w thin the Municipal District. Carried.

Moved by Mr. Campbell that each Councillor and Mr.
C J. C istie be paid $40.00 for convention expenses, and

Mr. G. G. King, Asst. Secretary - Treasurer, submitted
the pub is works statement, and it was moved by Mr. Campebll
that sa e be adopted Carried.
Mr. G. G. King submitted the pay - sheets, and it was
moved by Mr. Petersen that same be passed for payment. Carried.
Mr. G. G. King read a report of inspection of various
roads and works with Mr. Connors, District Engineer, and same
was discissed by the Council.
Moved by Mr. Zampbell that refund of $27.27 be paid
to Mr. John Dick; as over - payment of 1948 public works grant.
Carried. (Reference: Project #15-1949-East of 4- 33-24-4)
Moved by Mr. Schmaltz that Reeve and Secretary-
Treasurer be authorized to sign transfer for Acme lots, in
accord trried. e with By -Law No. 139, and to pay $150.00 for said
lots.
Mr. C. J. Christie submitted the accounts, and it
was moved by Mr. Schmaltz that the following accounts be passed
for payment.
